Iowa lost. Indiana played better. On to the next one. Win @ Illinois, and go from there. It was one of those days that happen in a 20-game season in a league as balanced as the Big Ten. It's not exactly the end of the world. It's not even the end of Big Ten title and national title aspirations. Not even close. Take a deep breath and let it go.

I agree, but Iowa fans need a reality check. Iowa has a good team, but they are far from invincible. If the expectation is that anything less than a B1G Ten championship and Final Four run is a failure, then there's going to likely be a lot of upset Iowa fans.

Now, it's not completely out of the realm of possibility, but if Iowa fans don't adjust their expectations a little this board is going to be nuclear soon, especially when Iowa starts playing more of the top tier teams in the league.

If Iowa goes 14-6, that'll be a success in my book given the limitations this team has athletically.

I’ll be happy with a trip to the sweet 16. I expect a trip to the Elite 8, but I’ll be happy with the sweet 16.

Gotta make the Sweet 16

This league is too big a grind for it not to happen. When a team plays like that in this league, you’re gonna get beat. It’s happened to everyone now

I think this team is certainly capable of it. Seeding and match ups, to state the obvious, are paramount.
Of course. But with the experience on the team and expectations set by the players, I’d be really disappointed if we were unable to make it to the second weekend. As a two seed, that would mean losing to a 7 seed at best, or a 6 as a 3. I’d hate to say the season is a failure if we’re unable to reach the second weekend, given the incredible show we are witnessing on a game to game basis, but if not this year, then when?

Shouldn’t you be rooting for games to be cancelled?

Exactly right. About 10 days ago a lot of people were already crowning Michigan as BIG champ and a final four team. Then they go up to Minny and got their asses handed to them. It happens, and yes I realize that Iowa was not on the road, but the homecourt is not quite as big of an advantage as normal this year.
