Total rip off....

Illinois has home court student fans....Iowa not so much. It has been the difference in almost all the games Iowa plays there.
They caused the missed shots or the poor officiating?

They sure didn't cause this piss poor officiating in our first matchup

Had a good look to win it, just didn’t fall. It’s a shame and just makes things a bit more difficult for the B1G tournament but as Kennedy said we didn’t go to the moon cause it was easy. We went cause it was hard. So will winning the B1G tournament. It starts for us on Thursday

Boy oh boy ........what a bunch of whinny little cry babies!! Do you all really think Illinois was just gonna roll over and play dead because Iowa was coming to town! I'm so disappointed and i guess not really surprised by the lack of intelligence of this group of people! Yeah it was a bad night for shooting free throw ......for like the first time all year!! They are normally killing it from the line! So they lose the the conference champs at their place on senior night ....by 2! Oh yeah ....a lot to be disappointed about there! freaking idiots!!

There's really only one asshat whining in this thread. You just knew there would be some clown here making a fool of himself. Book it indeed!

Didn't help.

Appreciate the kid but he's so physically outmatched by the better B1G guards that I'm embarrassed for him.

That's five in a row we've lost to those bastards.

Iowa doesnt lack killer instinct, but it does need better coaching with regards to defensive matchups. I saw way too many dumb lapses on the perimeter, the same thing that bit us the first game. Kofi and curbello will get their paint points, but there's no reason we cant faceguard Plummer and Granderson the way they do Bohannon.

And we pissed away a 15 point lead. No killer instinct at all.
**** killer instinct, **** need better coaching…my boys need to make freethrows and layups!!! They do that, we don’t have this conversation. They will be better, no doubt. They are pissed at themselves and as bad as we shot, we had a chance to win with Kris’ three at the end. It goes no further than #15 and #24. Season isn’t over and neither is their opportunity to make a great run as a team. Go Hawks!!!

Would have been nice to steal a win, but I can live with closely contested road losses against likely a 1 or 2 seed. Iowa had plenty of chances, but free throws hosed them. It would have been nice to have Pmac, as he would have provided another option on offense that was lacking with Connor and Jbo being ineffective. Iowa had no answer for Curbello and unfortunately his open gym shots fell last night.

The only reason to respond to this thread is to say "what a stupid thread". They missed FTs in bunches....it had nothing to do with not having a killer instinct. Someone was drinking heavy and not taking their meds.

Maybe if Iowa’s dumb ass AD paid attention to other teams in conference and how they surround the court level with student fans making all kinds of noise the entire game, Iowa can have a better home court advantage. Again, Iowa’s AD is a little slow on the uptake.

Has he led the team in assists--even one game--since the lineup change?

I get that he "has poured heart & soul!" into it, but come on, a PG who doesn't routinely lead the team in assists will be problematic come NCAA tournament time. Unfortunately, the alternative means better defense, but much less offense.

If only this was the football board!

PMac not a good match up vs an athletic team like Illini that likes to be physical and he’s not geared that way and gets pushed around. JBo 2 fouls in first half was a blessing in disguise as he can’t go against guards like that, can't defend them or get his shot. Iowa’s tourney runs rest with Keegan, Kris, Joe, and Perkins with a mix of Filip, PMac, Ulis, JBo, and Connor.

There were many opps by everyone, outside of those as well. Your boys played awesome once again. On to the next.

If you and Ihawk mated, you would create the dumbest human to ever crawl the face of the Earth.

So in other words, you don’t have a response to counter that so you insult people.

Why do you think Iowa had a better chance to win last night w/o JBo playing very much, no scoring and PMac not playing? Iowa’s more athletic players in Keegan, Kris, Perkins, Joe T, and Ulis got the majority of minutes and scored most of the points. You talk about people being dumb, but damn dude, you take the cake when you can’t see who the most athletic and best players are on this team. But go ahead and double down on stupid.

December game vs Illini lost with PMac and JBo playing majority of minutes. Last night, Iowa wins w/o them if they make their free throws. It’s as simple as that.
