Calling them liberals is really dis/mis/malinformation. Not attacking you (everyone on here erroneously uses it), they just aren't the dictionary definition of liberal. Normals, patriots and rationals need to get away from using the verbiage that is part of the newspeak language-control mechanism of the left.

I think the point is, we can call them many things ... calling them liberals or progressives or Democrats is just false advertising.
I'm gonna take this a little further.
Here's the definition of classical liberalism from Wikipedia.
Classical liberalism is a
political tradition and a
branch of
liberalism that advocates
free market and
laissez-faire economics and
civil liberties under the
rule of law, with special emphasis on individual autonomy,
limited government,
economic freedom,
political freedom and
freedom of speech. Classical liberalism, contrary to progressive branches like
social liberalism, looks more negatively on
social policies,
taxation and the state involvement in the lives of individuals, and it advocates
deregulation.
^^^^^ Notice how they tossed in the reference to "social" liberalism. That's a big brother trick. It's like when Bernie Sanders says, "I'm in favor of Democratic socialism" ... weak minded people buy into the bait and switch mechanism. It's just socialism, with a palatable word put in front of it to get idiots to vote for it. When someone says, "I'm a social liberal", that just means they aren't liberal but want you to think they are. In fact Democrats didn't start referring to themselves as liberals until almost a century after their party was formed. It was a rebranding mechanism. Just like "progressive" is rebranding. Just like climate change is the rebranding of global warming.
So why are they always in the process of rebranding ? Because as soon as people start to realize who they are and what they actually want versus what they say they want, they start to lose power. So they change their marketing strategy and target low-information people ... people who "pride" themselves on chasing whatever fad they view as ascendant.
Now here's the definition of liberal from WEBSTERS:
- liberal /lĭb′ər-əl, lĭb′rəl/
adjective
- Favoring reform, open to new ideas, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; not bound by traditional thinking; broad-minded. synonym: broad-minded.
Similar: broad-minded
So, lets examine it.
1) Favoring reform.
Trump is all about reform, do they support him? No, status quo or die, that's their motto
2) Open to new ideas
Have you ever seen any democrat on this board who didn't "pride" himself on being a circle-jerk-echo-chamber-Borg-like-entity? Admit it, all they do is recycle each other's talking points.
3) tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others
Don't be fooled by this one. They are the party and the movement of safe spaces and Stalinist censorship. They use the word tolerance in every speech because they know if people are actually paying attention they will recognize the party of the KKK; weather underground; SDS; Bill Ayers; Michael Moore; BLM; Antifa; Kamala-the-violence-should-not-stop-Harris, etc.
4) Not bound by traditional thinking
Again, don't be fooled. Leftism is the most traditional thinking because it is all about subjugating people using the force of government, going back 10,000 years. There is nothing more traditional than that.
5) Broad minded
That's just another way of saying "open-minded". When you engage them in debate do they say, "I want to hear your point of view" or is it almost all "I hate MAGAts" with a "liberal" dose of ad hominem thrown in. Be honest with yourself, they don't debate, they name-call. And they do that because they have just enough self-awareness to know that speaking their actual thoughts out loud will lose them elections.
Think back to how Hillary ran in 2016 (basically ignored "the blue wall" states)
Same with Biden in 2020 (from the basement)
Same with Harris in 2024 (no real interviews)
No one in the MSM asks them what their policies are, and when they vaguely reference them it is platitudes and dogma. Something like, "Elect me and I'll fix your life". But when you ask them "how" will you fix my life you get what Hillary said to coal workers in West Virginia: "Elect me and I promise to bankrupt your companies and put you on welfare".
