True Mastery of the self is achieved by skipping the Super Bowl

You do what you want. You have freedom of choice and will. Locke put it best:

“To understand political power right, and derive it from its original, we must consider, what state all men are naturally in, and that is, a state of perfect freedom to order their actions, and dispose of their possessions and persons, as they think fit, within the bounds of the law of nature, without asking leave, or depending upon the will of any other man.”
I dunno, I'm kinda more of a Hobbesian guy. To paraphrase my Political Science 101 (and later, Marxist Political Thought) professor, the great (5'1") George Friedman:

In the Hobbesian state of nature, everyone can kill everyone else. (Walks up to big fat D3 offensive lineman) I can think of several ways to kill you for example. Elephant gun...

I'll never attend a Super Bowl Party at someone elses house again, after the douche that held the last one I went to said Tom Petty and Heartbreakers halftime show was lame

I've watched them all since #3, except for the ones Tom Brady played in. Never liked him.
