Trump admin texted war plans

Did Waltz commit sepaku by adding the journalist on purpose in order to bring attention to this occurring? Maybe he will out them all. Seems like the sanest of the bunch.
We need a full investigation of this immediately including Congressional hearings. This needs to take priority over anything else.

We also need to drag Trump's ass into this. Either he is a participant and should face impeachment or he is so clueless he has no idea the biggest national security bungle of our lifetimes is happening right under his nose.

Jeffrey Goldberg is a curious 'journalist' to pick, especially in this ancillary war for Israel.

If you want to believe a 4D chess, you'd have to consider they just wanted to publicly drag Europe.

I'd love to see the 'war plan'.
Had to be a powerpoint, right?

I see you have been assigned your talking points….

That’s why I can’t even react to this. Beyond a short eye roll.
The reason Trump is President in the first place is because of the Comey letter and the Hillary email nonsense and non-stop Republican flogging of the "issue". Trump was going to be running the "information Security Administration". There are about 10 zillion tweets and statements out there from about everyone involved here (Trump, Hegseth, Rubio, Vance, et al) attacking Hillary on the issue.

And this is like a 10 zillion times worse of a security breach than anything to do with Hillary's email server.

It should be a really big deal. Heads should roll, probably starting with Hegseth.

why? the GOP isn't going to do anything

we know happened...it's not complicated. it's just incredibly stupid

@Whiskeydeltadeltatango claims to have served this country but finds nothing out-of-bounds about top admin officials disclosing top-secret information about an upcoming military mission...and exposing "operational details of forthcoming strikes on Yemen, including information about targets, weapons the U.S. would be deploying, and attack sequencing". They also exposed the name of an active CIA intel officer. It would be interesting to read his thoughts on Clinton's private server but he hides his past to avoid dealing with his hypocrisy.
They're just colossally full of shit. But a big problem here is that the Democrats absolutely will not make them pay for it. I'm getting to be as pissed off at the Democrats for not pursuing any of the zillion huge scandals of the first 2 months of this administration as I am at the MAGA Republicans.

My God. Republicans relentlessly attacked the Democrats for years over Hillary's private email server (which was a huge nothing burger) and it was probably the deciding issue in the 2016 campaign.

This is an easy one for Democrats to pound on. It's just building on the work the Republicans put in for years against Hillary.

different expectations for GOP (especially under trump) and democrats

it sucks...but it is reality

investigations, impeachments...it's not like that stuff hasn't been tried. i just don't see the point in going through the whole process just for the GOP house and senate to give a collective "who gives a shit" response

Only the best and brightest! All merit based hires!

Oh good, for a moment there I thought you were going to say he had an unprotected, unlicensed private computer server at his house that he was illegally keeping secret from the government to perform his duties on.

All the liberals in this thread, just pretend Hillary Clinton did it and you’ll feel better right away.

No it hasn't. The Democrats have never mounted sustained never ending attacks on Trump and the Republicans.

Never. N.E.V.E.R.

I repeat. They have never ever attempted the type of sustained attack on Trump and the Trump MAGA Republican party that is the usual for the Republicans when they go after Democrats.

It's a good bet that a higher percentage of the population think that Obama was born in Africa and know something was fishy about Hillary and emails than know that Donald John Trump is a convicted felon.

LOL's. She did what Colin Powell did when he was Sec of State and what he recommended to her she should do.

And then of course Trump himself was using a private non-secured phone and private non-secured email acct for official business when he was President.

How effing dare you nuts even try to bring up Hillary's email server after the ongoing information security disaster that has been the two Trump administrations. And as today's news show it just keeps getting worse.

i think i've pretty well established my anti-trump bonafides here

but we're going to agree to disagree that the problem with demcrats is they haven't gone after trump hard enough

Did you? What did you find reassuring about senior administration officials using an unapproved chat app to communicate about war plans without noticing that the editor-in-chief of a magazine was on the thread the whole time?

I ignore whiskey for the obvious reason I can imply by reading responses to his texts. Like all MAGAs his positions are irrational. There's no possible way, manner or means to justify this breach of security.

Hedgehog and all members with security responsibilities involved in this travesty should be dismissed. This is grade school equivalent of incompetence. Hedgehog is a goddamed right-wing TV host. This is proof he belongs in a make-up room - not in a seat of tremendous power. Same with the dumb woman, Tulsi Gabbert. This says everything we need to know about the brainless Congress that allowed this tinker toy cabinet to happen.

Why was there some kind of debate going on in those texts about whether to attack now, in a month, what kind of ramifications there would be on oil, etc?

If the President gives an order, that's it
