I'm OK with a temporary dip in the market if it means we get control of the fentanyl entering the country. We can only do so much from our side of the border. Mexico, primarily, needs to do much more.

Deaths from fentanyl arent bullshit. Micrograms of the stuff is enough to kill a person. This crap is a scourge on America and whatever we need to do to stop it is ok by me. This includes forcing our neighbors to do what they thus far have not, punishing China for making the precursors, increasing our own security at the borders, attacking drug labs and facilities in Mexico with US armed forces etc. Will this stop all of it? No but we have to do everything in our power as kids are dying of this that think they have just bought a 10 dollar Adderall from a guy they met at a party. Lots can be done but trying to reduce demand for stuff laced with Fentanyl is much less likely to be effective sadly. History tells us as much.
