according to freep he won last nite. I did not see it, but I'm reading about it. he is a 9-11 truther and good for him. he needs to come out and say who really did 9-11 once and for all
I've had quite a few people that have always voted republican tell me they will refuse to vote for Trump because he's such a buffoon. I'm guessing they aren't alone and will cause many to vote democrat or not vote all.
Answering Herkmeister’s question, yes. I do think he is sabotaging himself on purpose. I think he wants to lose a few more primaries so he can run third party. The problem is, he underestimated the stupidity of the average American. He keeps saying more and more outrageous things that would normally derail a Republican candidate. It isn’t working because the media isn’t treating him like they usually treat a Republican.
The stage is getting smaller. In the large groups he could lay back and shoot out one liners and hide on the issues. As the number of competitors gets smaller he will have to be more focused on answering questions and I don't think he can do that without looking uninformed on a lot of issues. Christie hammered Rubio for being so scripted. Well, what is Trump? Wall, huge, tremendous, so much respect, wall, fabulous… That's all he has.
Trump is going to keep getting his 25-35% all the way to the nomination...unless the rest of the field can clear out for another candidate, and I don't really see that happening.
Cheney is awful with the heart attack machine. He kept getting himself.
If he wins 75% of the primaries would they really deny him the nomination? I don't know the answer, I'm honestly asking. To me, it seems like they'd have to give it to him.
I thought for a long time that he was in it for the press. Got in to have some fun and then found himself in the front and didn't know what to do.
After watching television this morning, I wonder if his ploy isn't total brilliance. He is pandering to the angry and the angry are on both sides. Last night might've been comforting to some Democrats. I found his performance to be appalling but according to CBS News 24% of viewers thought he won the debate.
As he waters down his ideas I become more and more interested in "the Donald". He's now become less dangerous than Hillary and Cruz
When there are four or five candidates and there will be through Florida. 25-35% will win states.
And this is why HRC will crush him in a one on one debate. He's loud, but at some point he has to show knowledge of issues and he simply does have a wide enough base of info.
He will be exposed again. The question is whether it comes before he wins the nomination.
I think as soon as Sleepy is flushed from the stage it'll get very interesting. Right now the moderators are obligated to call on him once in awhile and Trump is playing the role of his protector by attacking Cruz for the dirty tricks in Iowa. When Carson is gone, and maybe one of the Kasich/Bush crew it will get really tight for Trump to hide.

He doesn't have much longer before he wouldn't be able to get on all of the state ballots. I'm reading that'd he'd have to do that sometime in March.
And I know people who generally don't vote, or vote Democrat, that told me they would vote for him. It should be interesting to see how it all shakes down if he gets the nomination.
