Of course you could argue that he was dumb to associate with them in the first place.

My point is that the article backs up my contention that Trump is an unplanned mess that doesn't pay attention to policy details and stupidly allowed people associated with his campaign to push a very socially conservative agenda that even he doesn't agree with. (And obviously finds harmful to his reelection chances)

He’s a narcissistic populist. He knew all along what Heritage was doing and he supported them. He can’t verbalize one policy stance, other than giving generalities and going off-topic. He is so clearly unprepared and unfit to lead this country.
