This is a really stupid question by the X poster. SCOTUS always prefers the lower courts act first. That doesn't mean they never grant cert first, but it's always their preference to use the normal process.

The point of immunity for the president is to keep prosecutors from constantly filing cases to impede the work of the president. It is also to keep these same prosecutors from doing the same thing to interfere in an election. It is sound policy to have some level of immunity and the Supreme Court was always going to be the destination for any decision regarding these issues.
And how is aiding and abetting an insurrection in any logical way a part of the official duties of a president? I agree presidents should have some level of immunity to be able to do their job but what trump did was most definitely not something he should have immunity for. We all know it.
