He's on CNN right now and he's mauling his competitors without their interruption. And talk about a great free advertisement.

The liberal media does love to give the GOP front runner a lot of free advertising. Trump also is either way too smart that his mind is always ahead of his tongue or he has ADD and loses his place constantly. He starts a sentence and just cuts himself off part way to start a new thought.

That's because his brain is so fabulous that his mouth can't keep up.

Of course they do. . . he's destroying the GOP's brand and they are eating it up.

To be fair the primary voters who are making him the front-runner are also destroying the GOP's brand. It wouldn't be meaningful if he was in 7th place.

Actually Hoosier, wouldn't you say the Republicans have totally destroyed their own brand? And wouldn't you say the Dems are on the edge of doing the same? (If they haven't already.)

Well about 70% of Republican primary voters are not voting for Trump so they can't be really implicated in this.

The Dem's have a fine brand strategy of "Not Republicans" at this point. Of course they don't have much more then that and are totally reliant on the Republicans nominating a crazy person.

Not really. It got destroyed when the neoliberals took it over, but the process has probably planted some nice progressive seeds.

I would say both parties are so far from the middle that they are alienating the majority. This alienation has caused the anger. And if things do not change this anger will result in dangerous civil disobedience.

I don't believe Washington or the media has yet comprehended the depth of the anger raging in people.

This....the thinking American public(those who could give a shit about party).....are the ones that are going to decide the election. The party stooges have already staked claim...and aren't going to budge if you put Satan as their front runner. The only pull the levers for D's or R's..........and it's all they will ever do. It's those in the middle, that vote on issues.......that will decide this one.

The Gov't has no idea the amount of outright rage and contempt that is brewing in America against them and the media. And if it keeps up......I can foresee revolution in this country in my lifetime.

He knows exactly what he's doing at all times. It's fascinating.

Totally agree. I've been predicting revolution for over a decade. And if you look at Creece you can get a glimpse of our future. We are in SERIOUS trouble.

I might add that I think both parties are about to select Satan. How on earth could we survive Hillary or the Donald? And Bernie is the worst of all.

He knows exactly what he's doing at all times. It's fascinating.

He keeps the spotlight focused on him and he makes the others respond to him. And there is little doubt his last debate performance stunned the left. Brilliant.

The prominent question to me is whether there are Dems who are as pissed off as Republicans.

Greece and its problems have nothing to do with the US. Anyone who claims otherwise is simply displaying his or her lack of understanding of international finance and the differences between the situations in Greece and the US. This thread is also a fine example of the false equivalency that both parties are equally out of step with the American mainstream and equally radical, a patent falsehood.

So help me out Cigarette. If our failure to service debt hits the tipping point, how does this not compare "simplistically" with Greece?

I say simplistically because a financial collapse would have catastrophic ramifications worldwide. (And I realize that inflation is one of the payback strategies for this debt. But unbridled spending will eventually create consequences.)

This...so this. The establishment in the GOP walked all over many of their supporters in 2008 and have kept going from there. The Dems establishment/DNC is now doing the same thing by disenfranchising millions of voters to prop up Hillary and they have been incredibly transparent in doing it.

The fact that Republican leadership has put up an impenetrable wall regarding a SCOTUS nominee renders campaign promises of cooperation superfluous. The best thing they could have done was delay delay delay as Trump said. At least make it look like you're trying to cooperate.

I think Trump may be impressing me right now. I'm just a little shocked by his ability to do this. I haven't decided if he's brilliant, lucky, or flat out nuts. But when I see his assets it helps me qualify his ability.

I want to see his assets.

The situation in Greece was being held up as an example of what can happen here if we continue to print and spend money on behalf of the government without regard for the consequences. To quibble over whether this is a breakdown in International finance or domestic spending policy is ridiculous. Their financial system has come apart at the seams, and they are dangerously close to default and in turn, a tack toward Russia. The reasons are that they actually did what the Liberals in the U.S. are trying to do here.

The comparison to the U.S. is quite reasonable as we are following almost step by step down the same path that they followed. Other examples would include Venezuela, and Argentina.

plus, the dems are the ones who always tell us "this is a global world now, a global economy"

they want the whole globe to come here, open borders, and for "the rich" to pay for it all

but when the globe becomes broke all of a sudden, it's not their problem that they perpetrated it.
