Trump's financials

4-plus years now, maybe someday they come up with something. It's incredible that before he ran for POTUS, nobody thought to go after him?

Huh?

They've been trying to get them for more than 4 years.
This is his strategy, in every legal case he is involved in: outspend, and run out the clock.

That works against people who run out of resources and energy. DOJ and NYAG will run out of neither.

Who cares?

I don’t understand the big deal over a politician’s taxes.
If it leads investigators and the grand jury down a rabbit hole, it could lead to a criminal case.

That said, I’m skeptical anything will happen. Trump has avoided any consequence for anything his whole life.

But that’s the importance of said returns.

As with everything else, I don't believe this will end up mattering either. Even if there's something in there and they convict trump, he continues to claim he's a martyr for the "common folk" from inside jail, and fundraise like never before.

As long as he gets out before 2024 enough loonies will still vote to nominate him that he'll end up as their candidate again. At that point the other conservatives/republicans will have no choice but to vote for him as long as he's comparably the "pro gun, anti abortion" choice - because no crime, no matter how bad, will ever get them to vote against those two issues.

Especially one who is likely audited annually.
I think the annual tax audit would be stand alone. When you compare his tax returns to the financial forms he signed/submitted for his huge loans, I think you could get into fraud. Again, not sure any of it makes any long term difference to him.

Which is probably why you vote for such poor candidates.
Because it actually matters.

Really? Let's go back 4 years. I posted links to every single tax form and asked you to tell us which form would show anything about Trump other than income and charitable giving. You couldn't do it. So tell us now why any politican's tax returns make much difference?

Auditors look for unreported income, or unauthorized expenses. Those would be tax fraud. Trump likely didn't release his returns because he was embarrassed at how low his personal income was, and didn't want to explain his reported income compared to his lifestyle and image.

The biggest thing I can think of is comparing tax returns to financial disclosures that are already available (like Deutsche Bank's). If there are differences, did he commit tax fraud or did he just commit plain ole fraud?

Again: why you (generally) vote poorly. Most certainly why you voted Trump in '16
As usual, you are wrong. I didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 either. Go back and look at my post history. Go back to November of 2016. You think you are so smart. Find ONE post where I EVER said I voted for Trump. Just one. Do it, or shut up. Coward.

I have stated NUMEROUS times going back to November of 2016 that I did not vote for president that year. Do your research instead of shooting your mouth off.

you don't care about a career fraud and criminal, huh? Duly noted. The Trump family has been a criminal enterprise dating back to when Trumps racist father was in bed with the mob. Sometimes justice and karma take longer than anyone would like, in Trumps case several decades, but the walls are caving in around Trump and their corrupt empire and he has essentially exhausted all legal remedies to conceal his corrupt financial dealings. Can't wait to see Trumps booking photo, will he smile big and large as he does with all his pathetic photo ops with his sycophants?

Normally a bank isn't releasing someone's financial disclosures to the public. Not even prominent politicians.

The New York City District Attorney wants to convict
Trump on tax fraud. Trump is no longer protected by
his status as President. He is now a sitting duck as
his enemies take aim at him. His day of reckoning
will be here sooner than you think.

I agree. The bankrupt casino should have been a giant red flag.

Trump businesses had 4 bankruptcies reported as of 2016. That should have been enough. His personal returns won't show anything that Dems think they will show, like who Trump does business with, etc.

The Republicans Party had their chance to cut ties with Trump and refused to do it.
Trump is now going to burn it all down.

IIRC these discussion were about Net Worth. I would agree with you there.

Forbes has a pretty detailed report on his net worth. A majority is tied up in three properties. Income is primarily derived from licensing agreements and consulting work.
