Tyler Cook Mixtape @ Bass Pro T of C

Excited to get this kid on campus. Seems like the perfect junk yard dog around the hoop. Excellent finisher. Really liked the footwork he showed at the 1:45 mark or so. No glimpse of what he might be able to do if he works hard on his post up game.

The front court should be solid the next couple years as these guys get experience.

I haven't been this excited about an incoming Iowa player since...Roy Marble.

I'm wondering if perhaps he's physically grown a little. That might account for it.
Maybe, but he's improved a lot. Hit a couple turnaround jumpers in te tournaments he was in this last week and has more skill in te post. Can guard bigger and smaller guys.

How tall is he? Looks like he's got some long arms. Great looking finisher. Haven't had someone like him in a long time.

That's a good looking 240 or 253 pound player with major hops. I'm sure he's got plenty of strides to make with his post game and defense to be B1G ready, but it's pretty obvious the physical talent is there.

His defense won't be an issue.

I'll confess I was thinking Stone, Bryant, Hass. and Hammonds. Very few if any will be back.
Is Costello a senior?

It's hard to get respect as a freshman from big ten zebras and generally size, quickness, and post moves are an adjustment for freshman. I didn't mean to imply he didn't have skills, but there is normally a learning curve.

Without proven stellar big guys he's got a bit easier row to hoe. I do see him as a post defender where he'll be giving up a few inches nightly.

Hammons and Costello are seniors. I doubt Thomas Bryant and Diamond Stone are one and done guys but who knows they may leave.

I think Stone is gone and Bryant won't get the ball passed to him until he goes. I'd guess he leaves.
