I have seen parts of a few UCLA games and they all looked like last night's did. They seem disinterested half the game and then flip a switch and look like a Final 4 team. No clue what do with them in my bracket. MSU dominated early and then the scorers for UCLA took over. Nice to have the luxury of multiple guys who can make plays 1:1.

You have to wonder if somehow the halftime thing didn’t affect MSU a little. They seemed con control in the 1st half and really bad in the 2nd. Of course there could be a number of reasons for that, but Izzo didn’t seem like himself.

UCLA isn't really much (if any) better than MSU, someone had to win that slopfest last night and I guess the Bruins wanted it more.

BYU isn't anything to write home about but I have a hard time seeing UCLA beating the Coogs.

I can see why they could be a sleeper pick because they played really well last night, but I don’t have them going anywhere after their leading scorer went down at the end of the game with an ankle injury. Hope it’s nothing too serious for him, but it looked bad enough to where he probably won’t play the next game. Plus they lost the last 2 games leading up to the tournament with both being without him.

Went and changed my bracket after the game. I had MSU beating BYU. Changed it to BYU. Neither team looked like they have staying power. Did the same for the Drake/Wich. St. game.

I thought MSU looked terrible, not so much UCLA being great. I think some 12ppg guy went off for 27pts for UCLA, which doesn't seem likely to repeat.

That’s cheating.

Sneaky good team. I wouldn't count them out. They are exactly the type of team who could ride an opening first four win for a few rounds. They won't be an easy out.

UCLA is 3-0 in NCAAs...and leading at halftime...The PAC12 is currently 10-3 in NCAA games vs. "outside" competition...plus leading at halftime.....(understand lots of basketball game left to play)
Doesn't appear that UCLA or the PAC12 teams are posing for anything.....
Remember Bill Walton...."PAC12...the Conference of Champions!"

Unbelievable that UCLA had to go to overtime to beat MSU.

Houston was dead in the water to Rutgers.

One off tournaments are equal parts excitement and sickening.

Zero chance UCLA is at any point competitive with Gonzaga.

They play defense, which is why they had a chance in these games. The Zags will likely crush them. It will be interesting to see what Vegas has the spread at.

If I had to guess, Im guessing somewhere around -12?
Its around 445am so I'm not even sure the line is up yet....

Zags are 14 point favorites at the moment. I expect that to probably creep closer to 15 or 16 by tipoff.

What's funny is a generation ago, Gonzaga was the cute little story and UCLA was a force to be reckoned with. Now the Bruins are David and the Zags are Goliath. Funny how the tables have turned.

The saying is DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS and UCLA is playing some "D." They are not overly talented, but they have the pieces and they really get after it. Most undervalued player in the country is Bruin, Jaime Jaquez. He does all of the little things that don't necessarily hit the box score. GLUE!

Bruins still have 7 top 100 recruits, so the narrative of them being not very talented is way over blown. Johnny Juzang was recruited by Kentucky. Never saw the floor, but the guy is a stud. Interesting that the spread in the Zags-USC game was 9 and this is 14. That was a demolition last night. I feel the Zags could have named the score if they wanted to. I just see no way the Bruins have the offense to win this, but what do I know?

Posers don't get to the FF, they finish 3rd in the most overrated conference in the country along posers Illinois and OSU.
UM made it one step short of their seed so I don't see them as posers.

UCLA certainly a lot better than I thought. MSU should have beat them as should have Michigan.
Lesson is play good defense and you can win games in NCAA.

If Michigan hadn’t tried to force everything through Dickskin last night and played more team ball on offense they would have won. Dickskin was a black whole

Well, well, well. How the turntables

Funny the narrative about the officials calling more fouls turned out to be the opposite.

Tom Izzo wishes he could foul as often as Houston.

Good thing I picked MSU to beat them. Bracket was busted in record time this year with IL tanking.
