Hey ummm... guys.

Who the hell are we in on? We have two top 100 recruits coming in. One of whom is a legacy.

We have no early commits from the 2019 class. Who are we in on?

Needs:

133
149
157
174 (not sold on Young)
184

That's FIVE weight classes without an elite recruit (and you could include 141 if you were being really honest). Somebody tell me I'm wrong, but 2019 is not looking so good for us.

IMO the best plan of attack is to go easy in 2019, have another class similar to this year 2018 (a blue chipper and a high upside mid tier recruit) , fill future 184 and 149. for 2021 after Wilcke and Lugo graduate. Then in 2020 go after elite blue chippers - A 133(maybe 2 with some of these guys having potential to grow into 141 after Murin): Howard/Vasquez/Bartlett/Hillegas. A 125: Schriever (Would fit perfectly as a RS FR if Lee went 4 straight with no RS). 174: Kennedy would fill in perfectly after Young graduates in 2021(you are underestimating Young IMO.) Maybe even AJ Ferrari for 184/ potential 197 after a year or two after 184. Then focus on Facundo in class of 2021 to fill 165 for Marinelli.

There won't be a lot of money coming off the books in 2019. Stoll the only graduating SR. Similar to this year with Sorensen coming off the books. And maybe Laux could be getting something. In 2020 Kemerer, Lugo, Turk, Wilcke, Gunther, Holloway all graduating who will all have at least been a starter for 1 season. Should be lots of money available for a monster 2020 class, money shouldn't be an issue that year so the work will have to be put in on all of those studs.

149 - Some guy named Lugo for 2 years
157 - Some guy named Kemerer for 2 years
174 (not sold on Young) - Some guy named Gunther, who beat Young, so you don't have to worry about Young.

You're kidding right? I'm clearly talking about after the 2018 class. Which includes Cassioppi and Brands and.... well. That's it.

And if you believe that Gunther is a guy who is going to get us back to a title... Well, I've got this bridge.

But a guy in the 2019 class would have a 1 year redshirt and then step in for Lugo/Kem. If Iowa waits until the 2020 class for a 49 and 57 pounder, that would mean they're starting true freshman. I guess it's possible that Brands is a 157, but from what I've seen he's projected at 165.

Looks like the Hawks are projecting him as a 157/165.

Love the way a few on here take what they hear or don’t hear as fact and then assume that Is the way it actually is. Maybe TNT should just email you and others so you know exactly who they are and are not interested in and talking to. Get your opinions so they are doing what is best...more importantly what you think needs to be done. None of you take the time to consider that our compliance department is completely different than other schools. We have ONLY 9.9 scholarships to give out and no extra income to “promise” incoming recruits. Extra income may be available via clinics and camps, however, it can not be used as an added inducement in recruiting. Some schools do it, we can not and do not. It must be that if you don’t see it on a forum or on twitter that it just can’t be taking place. I do apolojize, however, if you have actually spoken with Tom or Terry and they have told you that they are not recruiting anyone at the weights you mentioned.

We lose 1 senior this year (maybe 2 with Downey) and then lose 1 in Stoll the year after (although it’s possible he could get a medical hardship waiver). Cass is filling HWT and Wilcke is sliding down to 184. I’m not down on Young at all, I think he will earn the spot still this year and do quite well.

133... that’s the hole as of now unless Murin can make it. There aren’t many elite recruits there in 2019. One possible one is Ryan Anderson who I have heard could be 133/141. Another one is Busiello, obviously he is committed to PSU but with the talent they brought in this year who knows if he will or not.

I would project Ferrari and Kennedy from MN about the same size. Do you know about any direct competition between the two? Have been watching AJ in local tournaments for the past 6-7 years. He is a stud. Little bro pretty good too..
In college I see Kennedy at 74/84 and Ferrari 84/97. If you get them to the same school I'm sure whatever staff would figure away to get them both on the mat.

Starting to think he staff is content with Stickley, Glynn, and maybe Happel and Murin battling out for 33 in the next few years.

That could be, Stickley could be really good. His top game was impressive at wrestle offs.

Wore an old PSU singlet for S32. May not mean anything, but looks like he's serious.

Given the already current depth in his weight, I have a hard time imagining him picking PSU or them offering anything. Then again, we have thought that for awhile and they keep flocking there.

Guess I would like them to figure out the Lee situation. If he is gonna go after midlands then why not have Perez man til then and let Stick RS this year and build size for 33 next year? Seems like a wasted yr for him if Lee goes and I think he will.

Busiello is ahead of Manville's record pace for speculation early in his JR year. He takes a loss or two this year and he's in good shape to set the new standard.

I fully expect them to keep the shirt on both until a decision is made.

That mullet though... looking fluffed and feathered. Watch out
I think they need to get some color on those walls though. It looks like a house a robot would live in. (joking spooner, I am just joking) Also, I read somewhere that he is joining the team for a hug and a handshake. Does that mean he is basically walk on? If so, that is a heck of a walk on.
