The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports:

Infectious disease specialists throughout Georgia have worked rapidly over the past few weeks to respond to a measles outbreak in the metro Atlanta area, according to the Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale Public Health Departments.
At the Gwinnett County Board of Health meeting Monday, epidemiology program manager Keisha Francis-Christian provided more information about how local health agencies have responded to the outbreak involving three members of the same family who were not vaccinated against measles.
As a result of those visits, Francis-Christian and other epidemiologists have identified over 300 people who were exposed to the contagious person. She said residents in over 20 counties have been impacted by the disease investigation, including at least 114 in Gwinnett County.

I had a question, but used the Google. In case anyone else was wondering

Even if most people are vaccinated against measles, the virus can still spread because a small percentage of people may not be fully vaccinated due to factors like medical reasons, religious beliefs, or simply not receiving all necessary doses, allowing the virus to spread among the unvaccinated population when they come into contact with an infected person; this is especially true in situations where an infected individual travels to a region with lower vaccination rates.

Key points about measles spread even with high vaccination rates:
  • Highly contagious nature:
Measles is one of the most contagious diseases, meaning even a small number of unvaccinated people can lead to outbreaks when exposed to an infected individual.

  • Airborne transmission:
Measles spreads through tiny droplets in the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes, allowing the virus to linger in a room for hours, potentially infecting anyone who enters that space without adequate immunity.

  • Vaccine failure:
While rare, some people may not develop full immunity even after receiving the measles vaccine, making them susceptible to infection.

  • Importation of cases:
People traveling from regions with lower vaccination rates can bring the measles virus into areas with high vaccination rates, potentially sparking outbreaks.

Measles and tuberculosis outbreaks are symptoms of democrat migration policies. These outbreaks are the result of sick and untested illegal aliens being dumped into our country by the millions. Common Democrat L again.
hahaha, you spew a lot of shit troll boy

Maybe you can edit your thread title to add "13,000 dead in US from influenza as vaccinations go down". So many people, a high percentage, do not get flu shots and then they get really sick and many die. Horrible and a bad decision for most.

Iowa and multiple other states are below 90% on MMR and other vaccination rates. Herd immunity needs to be > 95%

There is a big measles outbreak in West Texas.

If we had 98% or greater vaccination rates we wouldnt be having this problem.

I had the same question, and googled (above).

I guess small % vaccine failure, or putting others at risk who haven't been fully vaxxed, like kids I guess?
What happens if everyone is vaxxed but there is still an outbreak because of vaccine failure. Do we still blame Trump or can we then blame companies making the vaccine?

Not discouraging the flu shot as I couldn’t care less if someone wants to get it or not get it.
Just wanted to share that this year was the first year that I can remember getting the flu shot as I have a little germ factory at home (toddler in daycare).
It’s also the first year I was home sick throwing up in 10+ years. Did the flu shot protect me from being sick multiple times or did it do nothing to protect me?

Viruses change. In many, not all diseases natural immunity is better. I haven't had the flu since 2017 not counting covid. I get it much less often since I quit flu shots back in 2011.

Generally speaking you are healthier not pumping unnatural substances in your body. Be selective.

See the post above yours.

People that don’t get certain vaccines that are overwhelmingly in the public interest are domestic terrorists imo.
You been following where our money is going? In Fauci you trust? Idiotic.

Dentists will still put mercury in your mouth. Cancer treatments still don't kill the cancer stem cells and comes back. Cell phones cause brain cancer. How stupid can you be?

Herd immunity is usually 95% or more of people being vaccinated for particular illnesses.

The whole world being vaccinated for smallpox, a terrible disease, and then having smallpox totally gone from the Earth is a great test case and proof of how well vaccines work.

If people do not get all the needed doses then that is not a problem with the vaccine. And people who get vaccines still get ill but much less so as we have measured with covid and influenza. Medical and religious exemptions are usually available so why list that.

And what the hell is the logic above of "allowing the virus to spread among unvaccinated population" when the idea is to have a very high vaccination rate.

Below, Between 2010 and 2020, 80% of children who died from the flu were unvaccinated, according to USAFacts.

I get the flu shot every year and have never, as an adult, had the flu. Maybe I had it as a kid but don't know.

Tell me more about when you started throwing up compared to when you got the flu shot.

First off, influenza does not have throwing up or diahrea as symptoms. Influenza, the real Flu, is an upper respiratory viral illness that has symptoms of fever, aches and pains, lung congestion and coughing. Head colds and RSV are not the flu but symptoms can be the same but as doctors say colds are more up above the shoulders.

Throwing up is sometimes called the "stomach flu" and it could be a virus but also bad food, bacterial etc. I encourage you to read up on these various types of illnesses.

Let me know about the timing of your vomiting.
