Iran says “meh,” and Biden avoids escalation while claiming he is tough on Iran.

24 hours ago not sure yet. 3 years ago resoundingly yes. We've been monitoring there movements since the threats of our response were made known.

We need to remove forces from foreign shores and shrink the military. The money spent on munitions and troops is largely wasted. Not a very popular opinion but there it is.

Really shouldn’t. They’ve launched over 160 attacks in the last 4 months and we had to have known one of the attacks would get lucky. Contingency plans were already set…Joe was given options for a response soon after the attack.
All I’m saying is we gave them 5 days to prepare and we telegraphed the punch.
I don’t think we wanted a bunch of dead Iranians with these strikes and we’ve given them a heads up before in the original Houthi strikes.
Avoiding escalation was probably the primary focus.
We’ll see if Iran calms the f down. I hope they do.
How do you know all of that? Most of the previous attacks were in the Red Sea weren't they? I'm sure the commanders giving the President recommendations know more than any of us.

They do, but we already had assets to strike them with in the area. There have been 160 attacks in Iraq and Syria since Oct 7….
It doesn’t take us 5 days to formulate a strike plan in that region of the world.
I think the main focus was not to escalate things. Strike the bases of the proxies and the IRGC but give the Iranians the time to bug out as to avoid mass Iranian casualties which would make them want to retaliate….
I just think avoiding escalating was the primary objective…along with sending the Iranians a message
