I’m guessing that Musk is searching the databases for key words that are perceived to be tied to liberal or democrats. Anything that comes up is automatically blasted out as “fraud” or “stolen” without looking into anything. They know their audience will not fact check or listen to fact checks. Once it is posted, the damage is done.
I’m guessing you could play this game with a search of “republican” keywords but that’s not what Trump and Musk want. That is the real issue with the Doge. It’s not a neutral and there appears to be no oversight. I’m all for reducing government waste but this is a joke.

To be clear I don't have an issue with Starlink accepting USAID funds. Elon is the one who has said that they are a criminal organization. My main problem is with the suggestion that Elon should be auditing the government at all.
He is a government contractor himself, he doesn't have any legal background at all, he doesn't have a background in ethics, he doesn't have a history of government auditing where he has demonstrated adherence to the law and an unbiased approach.
He is in fact highly invested in supporting a particular ideological position and has been repeatedly fooled and propagated internet conspiracies. His companies are heavily financed by government contracts. His company was being investigated USAID IG.
His appointment is cronyism. Now maybe he will turn out to be a highly ethical actor but excuse me if I don't have the blind faith that some of you seem to possess. And I do think it is interesting that I e of the first targets of Musk is an organization that was investigating his own company and one of the first acts by Trump was to get rid of IGs.

The auditing function is just to find out where the money goes. For that, the people at DODGE are well qualified and are doing a good job.
We are finding out a lot of things about where our money goes. Transparency is good. Democracy dies in darkness and the information that is coming out was hidden in the dark. It is up to us as taxpayers to determine whether this is the way we want our money spent. It is not up to Musk or anyone else at DODGE.
Why do you support the darkness instead of celebrating transparency?
