Actually, EVERYONE knows that they waste money. It just that someone finally realised that it was about time that crap starts to get identified and stopped.
Oh they know they waste money. And they know they are the beneficiary of said waste. There is nothing more transparent than a grifter complaining when someone gets wise to the grift.

Data from USAspending.gov shows of the $8 million spent on payments for Politico products in 2024, the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Interior and Department of Energy each paid over $1 million in 2024. USAID paid $24,000 for Politico subscriptions in the 2024 fiscal year, up from $20,000 the previous year.
In a letter to staff on Wednesday, Politico's editor-in-chief John Harris said, "POLITICO has never been a beneficiary of government programs or subsidies — not one cent, ever, in 18 years." Harris also wrote that "the overwhelming majority" of Politico Pro subscriptions come from the private sector.
Additionally, congressional records show both Republicans and Democrats and the committees they lead paid for Politico subscriptions in the last year.
The office of Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert, who accused Politico of "grift" on social media Wednesday, paid more than $7,000 to Politico LLC for "publications and reference material" according to the House Statement of Disbursement for the first quarter of 2024.
The same records show the Office of the Speaker of the House paid over $9,000 and the Republican-led House Committee on Energy and Finance paid over $58,000 to Politico LLC that quarter.
CBS News has reached out to Rep. Boebert and Speaker Johnson's office for comment.

So the public development world, ie usaid, was all over pumping money into it.
Until, of course, it totally ****ed local cobblers in Africa by screwing their supply chain.

Who cares? Just support the purge and when it's over then find out what happened.
He didn’t have to. The government audits Trump every year and has been doing so for many years. They audit most billionaires and multimillionaires regularly because that’s where the money is. His taxes were illegally leaked anyway. Finally, you are conflating private financial information with public information.
Congress votes and signs off on budgets every year.
Has DOGE audited the spending at Mar-A-Lago yet? The making the military stay at Trump properties?

I was on USAID projects in Ukraine. Here come the ha ha r's. The projects there were legit, if a bit naive. When the funding allowed Ukrainians to come here, I had to end it due to the fact the son's of 1st gen wealth (former commies) were trying to source stolen cars to fill a container going to Ukraine.
