Friday night, got over at 1:15 am.. my guess is coaches and media didn't even know it happened! I fully expect USC to stay top 10.. also, WSU is not a good team.. I hate the gophers as much as the next guy but they whooped up on them last year with their JV team and haven't lost this year.. gophs probably have a better case to be ranked than WSU (before last night)

Sam Darnold did absolutely nothing to impress me last night. (Did not watch the whole game) 15-29 for 160 something and a pick? His 2 Tds came on the ground with his almost 30 yards rushing. Am I missing something or has he not deserved any of this Heisman talk.

Spot on.. 8 picks! Absolutely a joke that they keep talking about him!

Should have lost to TX as well and played other games close. However, WSU will jump 8 spots to #8, and USC will fall 4 spots to #9. Can’t let them fall too far.

Not to defend Darnold but they were missing some olinemen.

You are absolutely correct. They were missing three starting offensive linemen. However, their defense has been suspect all season.

Yep but that WSU offense is good. There are possibly two first rd draft choices on that oline. One was #76 they call him "the continent" great nickname btw. He's 6'9" 376. Their qb is a gamer stayed in there and took some shots. I love it when USC goes down. Amazing how Pete Carroll got away with all his cheating. The Rick Pitino of college football.

Come on man!! So tired of these blue blood programs who get the pick of the litter in recruiting making excuses about injuries & depth. Iowa has maybe 200 stars when you add em all up (star per player) on the team compared to USC's 400+. Iowa competes as well as anyone w no excuses week in week out.
Truth is we have a great coach & program. Imagine if these other places developed & coached like we do. The real issue is sub par coaching. These programs (a lot of em) count on out athleting other teams. Coaches need to coach, mentor & develop. No excuses!!!

There's some big dudes on that offensive line. Tough to say how good that dline really is based on the USC injuries, but I thought it looked good too

9:8 td:int ratio yet even last night when he ran that one in to tie it at 27 all the announcers were still slurping the kid. All about the jersey I guess.

Agree, but that is the nature of sportscasters. Always perfect or lousy, nothing in between and no notion that you can be good one day and not so good the next week.

However, this is astounding with Darnold. For the last 10 games last year, he was unbelievable. I have watched college football for over 50 years and I never saw a QB play as well as Darnold in the Rose Bowl versus PSU. Only one close was Doug Flutie at BC, making impossible throw after impossible throw.

Last year he may have just let it all hand g out and everything worked. He may be over thinking t so far this year. Regarding QBs and the Heisman, the Oklahoma QB and the Oklahoma State QB are ahead of him and maybe also Josh Rosen from UCLA.
