I watched them lose to St. Bonaventure today.....
Tbf I prefer facing neither them or Oregon in the 2nd Rd, but here we are........
I’m hoping for COVID breakouts up and down the rest of our bracket. It sounds like most of our team already got it months ago so we should be immune.
I think we destroy either Oregon or VCU. I just don't see either team being able to hang with us for 2 halfs.

Oregon's tallest starter is 6'6" since they lost their center. Their defense ranks in the 70s.
Iowa and Garza struggle against big and athletic posts, Oregon has neither.

Iowa will make it to the great eight with wins over GC, VCU, then Kansas. Gonzaga? I hope for a w but expect an L, they are damn good.
True, and that's a concern with Iowa's lackluster effort to defend the 3 ball.
Iowa has shown improved hustle on defense lately though.
Oregon is ranked 76th for defensive efficiency by kenpom.
I'd much rather play a small lineup that's not great defensively than play a team like North Carolina with a huge front court in round 2.
No matter what, a 7 seed game is going to be a tough out but I'm pleased with this matchup compared to some other options.
Oregon will have their hands full trying to contain Garza and if they double him then Iowa will be getting a lot of 3s. They don't have a Kofi or Dickinson type of defensive stopper.
I do as well, and I don't mind that second round game one bit. I'd take Oregon over Florida or Uconn, also 7 seeds.
