Villanova isn't looking very sharp. Asheville looks bad. Can't handle the ball at all, yet but for a trio of threes at the end of the half, this game would be very close. As it is, Asheville is trying to hang in there.

Bottom line: Every game is different, but should Iowa get by Temple, the Hawkeyes would have a reasonably good chance of beating Villanova. Certainly nothing to fear.

When the Hawks are at their best, they can beat anyone. The real question is which team showed up in NYC.

Nova looks fine. About what you expect from the lopsided favorite. Turning it into a lopsided rout.

I was really hoping this game would be close and have a ton of Time outs and maybe an overtime or two so the Iowa game would be delayed starting so I could watch at least the second half after work. Not looking likely.

StormHawk42, I agree. And yes, after a lackluster 28 minutes, Nova has buried the #15 seed and sent them back to Asheville.

Villanova looks very solid in the second half. They have an inside presence and shoot the three well.

If Iowa beats Temple, they'll have trouble with Villanova.

Asheville and Iowa are very different teams. What Villanova did or looked like today will have no bearing on how they'll look or play Sunday. We match up well with Villanova. First things first, take care of temple.
