Holy shit that's a really poor design choice by Disney. Yikes

Now that is the Owen Freeman I was waiting to see. Great energy and movement tonight. He actually played like a center and defended the basket. Only knock is his free throw shooting.

Ditto Thelwell. He is a great team player, who makes their team a lot better on both ends. Damn, I hope he can play again next year.

I have been saying this for a few years, but now that UM has changed coaches, Mike Woodson is clearly the worst head coach in the B1G. He achieves less with more every year. If he hadn't been a great player at IU, he would have been fired a few years ago. Tonight, he and his players gave up with more than 10 minutes left in the game.

The closer Freeman plays to the basket on defense, the better off we are. He blocked several shots tonight and rebounded like a madman.

I have been bitching about how much he is wandering away from the basket, really on both ends. He needs to the guard the basket more, and he needs to post up more. A little work on his left hand and FT shooting would help.

Great game! Amazing what happens when you play with energy and tenacity on both ends.

Thelwell with 6 steals and Freeman rebounded and defended. You have to get some stops and Iowa was going to win this game even
if they weren't on fire from 3pt line. The Zone seemed to work pretty well and rebounding wasn't any worse. Wisconsin game is hard
to gauge because they were a buzz saw with their 3pt shooting.

I will be surprised if there isn't a change of location. Forest fires in and around LA have been devastating, and the winds are supposed to pick up again in the next couple of days. Climate change is real.
Will there been any hotel room available when the Hawks get there with so many people losing their homes burnt to the ground. They need some place to stay while trying to figure out the rest of their lives. GOOD GRIEF NOBODY SHOULD GO THROUGH SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN THEIR LIFE....

They should be able to find alternative locations, and I suspect that is already being researched.

hope you are right.

however, remember when the steel beam fell at Assembly Hall? Iowa was already in Bloomington and the Pacers offered their arena but IU said no to that (they didn't want to lose home court, ticket sales, concession sales, etc). Iowa had to travel back to Iowa City and the game got rescheduled at Assembly Hall.

Yep, but it is happening more and more. I have been through several pretty serious floods in my neighborhood in Houston. Fire seems even worse, although more localized. The destruction is devastating and disrupts your entire life. Not enough is made of those who come to help. Those are the real heroes/angels that never get enough recognition. Anyone politicizing disasters is an lowlife, who deserves absolutely no respect.

Brock couldn't play for western Illinois according to our dumbasses
LukaDuka continue to show that he knows nothing about the game. The Moline boys continue to show their worth for this Iowa men's basketball team.
Just think all of you naysayers have to watch another 2 more years of these 2 players and Owen isn't going anywhere, his game is not ready for the NBA no matter how you think he is. Owen 16 points, 12 rebounds, Brock 10 points, 10 assists, continue to look like dumbasses with your Brock is not BIG TEN talent. LOL

The Santa Anna winds have been blowing there for centuries.
Some of you really don't think Harding is a D1 player?
Several posters keep saying "wait until he goes up against tough Big Ten teams" Well, he has played against lots of Big Ten teams and equivalent teams already this season and has delivered.

Could the University hire SOMEONE to teach both the men and womens team how to shoot free throws, for Christs sake........

I guess you have been lucky enough to avoid disasters. Tell FEMA and the insurance companies (and the people whose neighborhoods look like they were hit by an atomic bomb) that disasters haven't been escalating. Iowa is lucky to be in a location much less likely to have large-scale disasters that destroy homes, although crops can be impacted by extreme climate.

Yes, I wish those same posters would post how many Iowa point guards have had double digit games in the Big Ten, they continue to post that Brock is too small to play for Iowa or in the Big Ten, he plays defense, hands out assists, and scores close to double digits, but they still can't make themselves believe he's legit. Here's hoping they continue to make asses of themselves as the season moves along.

Figured BH had to be getting close to 10 assists, he got ‘pissed’ at Pyyce for passing up a wide open three late in the game.

It has been going on the whole time. There hasn't been a hurricane with as much power that has hit Texas since the biggie in Galveston since 1900. Was that climate change then too?

Hawks finished that season losing 7 of their last 8 games. 😕

Not D1 too harsh, more like not P5 material. IMO he and Dembele are pet projects with big flaws. And those flaws are being covered up by a sparkling Dix. 1-4 in conf play is two Dix shots away.
Hello, McFly. Iowa is 1 - 4 with any made shots from anyone on the team missed.

If they play these next four games like they played last night and in the last 15 minutes of the Nebraska game, they will win all four.

If this is the game that gets Woody fired, thank you!! It should be. This group of overpaid mercenaries should be embarrassed, but probably aren’t because the coach has instilled zero pride. Top 5 NIL and bottom 5 results. Turned over to football at halftime. That’s no more compelling either. Good game, by Iowa at least.
Oooh. You just gave me a good idea ... head on over to the IU board for all the butthurt.

Let’s keep politics/social issues off this board. 😉

Did I hear correctly, that Northwestern hoops team decided to not travel to LA next week? If so, those postponed games will obviously need to be rescheduled at some point.
