Head scratcher Auburn's the lower seed yet playing at home. It's a game Iowa can win.
This is a home game for Auburn. They are 110 miles from Birmingham. Why does a 9 seed get a home game?

I’ve only seen Auburn play a couple of times, but they have athletes that will decimate Iowa on both ends of the court. Iowa, well we have Cmac, nuff said. Tigers by 15.
In '87 we were a 2 seed, scheduled to play 9 Arizona on their home court in second round but Lute lost to UTEP...

I see a lot of people complaining about being in desmoines or Alabama. What? Do you only want to win 1 game? Playing in the Midwest bracket allows Hawks to win away from home in Bama and then play next week closer to home. I don’t mind it at all. Hawks getting Houston will be tough as they play great defense but we can score. But first we gotta beat Auburn who has been tested but we can beat em. Go Hawks!!!

Actually, he got us there 8 times in 10 years-we undoubtedly had qualified in 2020 so it's like an asterisk for the qualification question.

As always with this team, if their shooting is on and they are running the offense well, they could go to the sweet 16 easily. but if they aren’t shooting well, they have no other strength to rely on and could get beaten by the Little sisters of the blind.
