What would the aid sent to the border be for?

To help the people crossing? To help the border patrol keep people out? To help the landowners impacted by the immigrants crossing their land?

To help build automated turrets that would fire on anything moving across their path?

Normally I'd say $30 was a steal, but having been to the Excalibur to look around, I'd say $30 was about right. It's the "Kid Rock" of LV hotel/casinos. They had an Orange Julius/DQ in their food court.

It can’t be real. The Excalibur doesn’t have a housekeeping staff.

We already are, no?
Plus active military support.

This aid package is $4B to replenish their Iron Dome system, plus another $22.4 billion…what’s that for?
Hookers and blow?

When they’re fighting off multiple Iranian Proxies along with Iran, and they are our top ally in the region, I think we need to make sure they have what they need to survive.

Plus, I thought the multiple aid package was 14.5 Billion

I was wrong - $9.1B of the $26.4 for Israel is for Palestinian aid. So roughly $17B for Israel.

The three foreign aid bills would provide $26.4 billion to support Israel, $60.8 billion to bolster Ukraine and $8.1 billion to counter China in the Indo-Pacific, including billions for Taiwan. The Israel measure also includes more than $9.1 billion to address Palestinian humanitarian needs, which Democrats said was necessary for their support.

I feel like if our strategy is now about arming other people to go kill each other, rather than sending Americans to go get killed, then I'm all for that. Let Ukrainians die fighting Russians over Ukraine, etc.

But if that's going to be the strategy, I think we should be pulling that money out of our defense money for things that we don't need to spend during the year. We don't need as many bullets and bombs if we're paying for other people to have bullets and bombs in lieu of us. More for them/less for us -it should be a sliding scale that starts with X billions of dollars to be allocated between what we'll use, and what we'll pay others to use. We don't need to keep replenishing our own supplies at the same rate for wars we're not fighting in - reallocate that money, and those arms, to go to the countries it needs to. That way we spend existing appropriations and don't increase our debt any.

I assumed most of this aid is just transferred to US defense contractors.
