They aim to cut military spending, close many bases, and hew more closely to international law. Beyond that, who knows? That certainly wouldn't rule out actual defense - as distinguished from unprovoked wars of aggression. Nor would it rule out participation in sanctioned peacekeeping missions and the like. Which used to be considered a fairly rational position, even if we didn't always adhere to it.

The danger of this sort of policy is that the US empire probably fades more quickly than it would if we go guns blazing into the sunset the way we seem to be headed. The good news is that if we are deliberately heading in this direction, we can prepare for it.

How do we know that the Greens won't fight?

Because the Greens are never allowed to win. They're never allowed a podium in a debate. They're never allowed equal coverage by the media. That's how you know.
