Like a lot of places, games are played and they mean very little.

BTW, what was the outcome?

Boy, little Muskie sh*t has come out of the woodwork trolling this board since his team came up with another cute win.

So now Iowa St is all the rage and Iowa is insignificant?

The Iowa and Iowa St games are on at exactly the same time next week on similarly distributed channels. I will wager any amount you want that the Iowa game has a higher viewership. Message me your proposal, with a .pdf of your bank statement.

Man, we beat a rival and kept a trophy. I remember a few years ago where Iowa went 0-4 in hardware.

Yeah, there's a lot to be desired, but currently we are 2-for-2 on trophies this year.

Wow the insufferable Iowa State fans are coming out of the woodwork. I'm actually happy for the longtime Cyclone fans who aren't obnoxious. The obnoxious ones who have been "fans their whole life"is what makes ISU fans annoying.

Just think, ISU damn near won their Super Bowl to boot!

Yeah, but they'll always have to live with the fact that even if they win out and go 10-2, Iowa was the one that kept them out of the CFP.
Such is life as the lil Bros in Ames. Man they have to hate us! At least they have last year’s b-ball victory over us to brag about. Or wait, do they?!

MuskieCy eh? Well, I'm going to assume you live in Muscatine and from your attitude I'm going to assume you are on the city council there, LOL.

I feel sorry for anyone who lives in muscatine. 44 - 41. It obviously still hurts you

Let him troll! The last time this happened for Iowa State was... never! 6-2 is a BFD guys

My chuckle was the availability online, yesterday morning, top 4 in town, ranked for the first time in a while of $30 tickets.

Nothing screams "winner" like a Cyclone fan trolling an Iowa message board at 12:35 in the morning on a Sunday.

My guess is he passed out in his parents' basement at 12:37 and will be getting woken up by his mother in about an hour for his shift at Wendy's.

Hey, be nice. I live in Muscatine also. The 'good side' (Hawkeye) of Muscatine. :) I was just giving him a playful hard time.

Have to give credit to ISU for being 6-2. Not sure I've ever seen the Big 12 this bad in football, but it's still an epic accomplishment for a school like ISU. Would love to play in the Big 12 this year.

And by the way, not trying to be an a$$, but how did you guys not sell out this game when tickets were so cheap?

If they’re not playing their Super Bowl against Iowa, they won’t sellout Jack Trice. And isn’t that stadium tiny? Like 50,000 something?

They have to figure out a way to get more Hawkeye fans in the seats when they’re not playing Iowa. Maybe they could honor the 2009 Hawkeyes during halftime of the Okla St game??

It's weird, isn't it? Two top-25 teams playing and tickets are only $30, and they STILL can't sell out a 50k seat capacity stadium. You could be on to something with your honoring a past Hawkeye team at halftime to get more people there.

Let's see here, two unranked teams in Kinnick drew just short of 70k and two ranked teams in Ames drew 40k. Good try though little brother.
Just short of 70k? Official tickets sold was just a shade over 66k. The ISU game drew a shade over 56K. Both stadiums had about the same number of empty seats.
