Iowa is starting Trenton Wallace and Bradley is starting a guy with a 8+ era.

Bradley is 12-5 on the year with a nice win over Georgia Tech earlier in the year. They have not played since March 21st as all three of their games this past weekend were called off. Bradley was pretty salty in 2015 along with Iowa. They have fallen off the last couple years but appear to be fairly solid this year again.

This is the one thing that I don't like about "staff" days pitching wise. You can end up with games like this. I've never been a fan of the preconceived idea that we are changing pitchers each inning. If a guy is in a groove, let him throw a bit.

Some of Iowa's best success in midweek games is when we had a Cole McDonald or Nick Gallagher starting them and giving us 3,4,5 innings.

Long game, ugly game, but the Iowa offense is showing life and we will need it moving forward!

Yeah, 6 extra base hits! The top 3 is the lineup was 10 for 15. Whelan .412, Neustrom .360, Cropley .358 so far this year.

Kind of the way it will be this year it appears. Iowa needs a lot of these guys to give them an inning or 2 on the weekend.

RPI is up to 64, climbed 11 spots.

Next up @ Illinois who has an RPI of 34. True road games against RPI's like that are golden in boosting your RPI.

Mid 50's and up.

and yes there have been exceptions. Teams with RPI's in that range not making it and one or two in the 60's making it.
