Watching Jokic play the Warriors

Naw, I'll answer my own thought... Jokic has much better handle, agility... nvm. He made a few moves which reminded me of Garza for a second.

I think he's a better version of Frank Kaminky.

garza is better college version of Kaminsky. I think Kaminski was little taller
and more mobile, so that is why he was drafted by NBA.

I think Garza looks a little bit quicker this year. So far his 3pt game is much
better than last year. Hard to believe the guy could improve but it looks like
he has improved in all areas.

My understanding is that Garza would be able to contribute offensively at the NBA level but could be a big liability on the defensive end. He also wouldn’t be the first amazing college player to not make it in the NBA. Jimmer Fridette for instance was amazing in college. All that being said, I’ll be rooting hard for Garza at the next level.

Jokic is one of the best passers in the game and is light on his feet. There's really not a current NBA center that stands out as being that similar to Garza. Kaminsky and Vucevic are probably the closest comparisons I can think of. Although they are both bad at D, they aren't as bad as Garza because they are bigger/longer and not quite as slow. Garza is probably a better shooter from range than both of them though.

In a straight line they probably have comparable speed, Garza may be faster even.

But Jokic can do just enough in screen defense by getting low and using length to not be a total liability. His feet are not as heavy as Lukas.

Garza will either have to shoot like %60 from 3 (this is far more appealing to nba than his post offense) or figure out how to not be a total liability in pick and roll defense.

Im just not sure its possible for him to gain the agility necessary to defend.
