Future head coach candidate coming to Carver Friday?

The top coaches ask two things when evaluating a situation:

1) will I be set up for success (read: NIL/facilities/ $)
2) can I realistically win a titles there?

Iowa is simply not a destination for established top coaches. Our best bet is to get lucky and hire the next Bo Ryan.

Fran hasn’t coached defense ever. Fran has had multiple nba players on roster at same time and done jack squat.

You win then you get money. You don’t get to disappoint for a decade and get rewarded.

Id be happy with Gatens tbh.

He will be a great coach somewhere someday. Maybe he needs another HC position elsewhere first but I am not convinced we shouldnt give him a shot. Short contract then see what he can do.
