Watergate: If it happened today...

And as Christie stated - if he did this with bridge-gate, holy shat would it have hit the fan!

First hooper, it has to be determined IF there has been a crime. Then, it has to be determined if she is guilty. This whole "secret" and "top secret" hoopla may just be nothing more than that. Then a gain, she might have done something illegal. However, at this point in time her accusers have no more to support them than Hilary and her backers do.
Except for that pesky "innocent until proven guilty" thing.

Which is to say that her backers actually do have more support.

Sigh. Please list the things Obama, both real and perceived, that are worse then Watergate.
Indefinite detention.
Killing untried and unconvicted US citizens.
Lying to the public and Congress about overreaching surveillance.
Jailing whistleblowers.

Yes Watergate was a "real crime." And, for sure, it shook America. And yes, breaking in is still a crime. But apparently some of these others aren't crimes any more. And THAT does not represent a positive evolution.

You are incorrect about the use of the IRS. And we do not yet know the extent of the obstruction this administration has committed, and continues to commit.

Watergate was about one major crime: the coverup.

Are you starting to forget things? After you made a few statements about other stuff worse than Watergate I took a look again, and you are way off on this Lone Clone.

Good point and on this the left is wearing the blinders
So far the GOP has launched several investigations into Benghazi and even more into Planned Parenthood and all have found no evidence whatsoever of the original charges. What were you saying about blinders again?

Typically when you can't find any evidence of anything illegal, it is a phony scandal.

Typically, when the person keeps obstructing justice with the help of some of the biggest govt bureaucracies (DOJ, WH, IRS) in the U.S., it takes a while to find anything.

Glad you're admitting that vast conspiracy theories are the only way to explain away all the GOP fail on these matters.

Let's remember that Nixon was impeached and resigned because of the coverup, not the crime.

Look at the various recent scandals. The actual event quickly gets pushed into the coverup. That's why, for example, it's so important to convince people that Benghazi was NOT triggered by the video. Because if you can get people to believe that then we don't just have a tragedy where mistakes may have been made, we have a massive coverup.

How much info has Trey Gowdy uncovered so far by sheer will. He's fighting the forces of Valerie Jarrett and Obama. The DOJ refuses to cooperated because they're just as bad as previous two. Everyday something new comes up. You can't call that "nothing to worry about". She's a crook, and a low-life lying politician that will do anything to get into the WH. She's not going to get there because she's a horrible campaigner and, eventually, she'll be indicted.

Considering that every last one of his investigations has found no wrongdoing, I'm guessing that Trey hasn't uncovered jack.

He wasn't impeached!

She did break the law. She signed a NDA saying she wouldn't mishandle classified information. She did. She had Top Secret information on an unclassified server. That's a crime. No two ways about it, she committed a crime.
Whether or not she broke the law still has yet to be determined, IMCC. If she did, she did and may the Lord have mdercy on her. I have never saids ANYTHING different. In fact, I find it more palitable everyday she screwed up and she knows it...BUT, let's let the play unfold. Meanwhile, the "loyal opposition" is not helping things along by their constant diatribes and drum beating.
What made Watergate believable is that Sam Irvine kept control of the testimony and kept the discussion a discussion. He did NOT every day seek the press and scream "Foul!" like Trey Gowdy and Dan Issa have done. These guys are no more than tools and I am sure the calmer heads in the GOP are telling these two to shut their mouths.

Go back and review. He's uncovered quite a bit. There still in the process which is the way it's suppose to be done.
How do you figure? Every last one of his investigations could find no evidence of wrongdoing. If anything all Trey has done is to piss the GOP's mission against Hillary down his leg.

Let's see:

It's gone from Hillary lying to the family of the fallen right to their faces during a military service to no, there wasn't evidence of a spontaneous demonstration to having a private server, to having a server with no controls on it, to a server with no controls on it set-up by some fly-by-night company, to the server being in a bathroom, to e-mails missing during the time of Benghazi, to her server being wiped clean (with a cloth), to her assistants having e-mails, to her lawyer without a clearance having classified e-mails, to a large sample of e-mails being classified after she said she didn't sent or receive classified e-mails, to the FBI investigating her because of her lies and EVIDENCE of having classified e-mails on her phone that WASN'T ISSUED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT.

Yeah. Trey Gowdy hasn't gotten anywhere, and Hillary is innocent.

Try again Red.

Its really rather simple.

7 days before the election Gowdy will release a 3 million page report on "wrong doings" by Clinton. The outline will be about 3,000 laws Clinton broke, but they can't charge her with anything because according to the repubs on the committee she covered up everything so thoroughly.

The current crop of GOPs wants to win in the press and on the internet before the facts are in. Then if they lose on the facts, their base will still be convinced they were right when they lied or misrepresented. It a tactic they are good at and Fox will help to change the subject anytime they might look bad.

Joel, comparing the Gowdy and Issa investigations and methods just reveals how utterly uninformed you are about one or both of them. They couldn't be handling their jobs more differently.

You guys really are clueless about Gowdy's investigation. In truth, the public knows very little about what's been going on there because there have been very few, if any, leaks.

First off, you are wrong, but since you think you are right:

Hands up don't shoot!
