WBB: other Big10 Tourney games

Has Indiana said anything about their two injured players?
They aren't practicing but are listed as "day to day". They plan on using Garzon as their post player. She's also 6'3" and while not as physical as Holmes would create some issues as she can drag her defender out of the lane when she shoots three's. Could make some matchup issues, but she could be drawn into foul trouble defending the post as well, so....

As of today their coach wasn't sure as neither is practicing. Garzon as the stretch 5 if they don't....

I know this is a semi-ignorant comment, or at least seems uneducated based on the way they throttled us this last time, but Indiana doesn’t put fear in the pit of my stomach… One look at the box score in that game and you could see we weren’t beating anybody, it was just that kind of game for us… I would guess we’ll be a close to a double digit favorite

Not sure who Murkowski is (senator from Alaska, right?) but Nebraska all-conference post Alexis Markowski is now 11-of-20 from the field and has grabbed 11 rebounds. Huskers lead 72-61 with under a minute left. She's running just as slowly in the fourth quarter (her eighth quarter in two days). She'll run slowly again tomorrow in the semifinals.

Best wishes to Katelyn Clarke and the Hawkeyes. ;)

Did that "bigger" gal shoot any farther out than 5 ' from the hoop?

And no one GAF about Nebby sports.

Michigan and Indiana not exactly tearing it up.

Will either team break 10 points in first quarter?
First team to 40 points wins?

Michigan now up by 10. 3:45 left in game.

Holmes inserted with about 6:30 left in 4th quarter. Is 0-2.

From the very first draw, Ohio State, having to play Maryland in the opening game… I saw that match up and thought yikes….

And the day has progressed from there…🤷‍♂️

Looks like two more 30-point beatdowns by Iowa on its way to yet another BTT championship.
If we don't poop our pants against Michigan, then a rematch with a fiesty Maryland squad wouldn't be ideal.

Frese will try to out-Caitlin Caitlin in terms of b****ing at the refs, which means from the jump she's gonna be stomping her feet about something we're doing that the refs need to watch for.

In order for your prophecy to come true, Nebraska will need to make lots of 3s and hope Maryland goes cold, and then hope that Nebraska doesn't continue its hot shooting in their try-hard effort to beat Iowa in the Finals.........

Yeah?

Yeah?

Pretty much…you know where I’m at. We’re beatable, in every capacity, but it’s going to be very difficult to do.

We have worked through a few different types of “off” Caitlyn nights now and came through great. We can score and defend “better” and get up and down the court with anyone and they’ll be challenged. And we’ll likely be challenged by some big tall teams…but I like our chances.

This is the 4th QTR of the season… we started out pretty good, but honestly probably overrated.

At what I called the Molly Davis Indiana game. It began to look to me like we were actually really really good…I mean legit top 4 good.

Then in the 3rd quarter we got a little out of sorts. No drama, no panic, understandable losses, but losses with themes…Poor lackluster 3rd QTRS, early 4th?

Otherwise we were Dominant honestly @ tOSU #1 and then suddenly drove off the road.

Nebbie, similar….

IU….a horrifically, epically bad shooting night vs a motivated team and we lost our focus and started playing like we were down 30 with 8 minutes left….

We have now moved into an accelerated 4th and we are pretty good and nobody’s easy day!!

I see us as the 2nd best team for the most part!

Going to a 2nd OT, tied 67-67.

Both teams pooping their pants at the end of regulation and OT.

Lauren Betts, who Iowa (or was it just the fans) was interested in, has missed several key layups down the stretch.

JuJu Watkins has 30 pts on 9 of 27 shooting. Only one other Trojan is in double figures. Watkins has missed several big shots as well. Missed a FT late in OT, but USC got the rebound and hit a 3 to send the game to 2OT.

USC gonna win in 2 OT. UCLA couldn't shoot for sh** and did nothing but commit fouls and turnovers in that final OT.

The reason this is important is because USC will now be guaranteed a top 5 spot in the seeding.

Iowa's best hope now to avoid the manufactured "Juju-Clark rivalry" being shoved down our throats is to have Stanford lose to USC in the Pac 12 title game, OR......hope that Texas or LSU don't do enough to steal that other 1 seed from USC.

Right now if the brackets came out tomorrow morning, here would be your pairings:

1 South Carolina
2 (8) Ohio State
3 (9) UConn (interchangeable with OSU)

1 (2) Stanford
2 (7) Texas

1 (3) Iowa
2 (6) UCLA

1 (4) USC
2 (5) LSU

Again, though, the focus shifts to the SEC championship game, and B12 and Big East Tournaments.

Dang, I just wish @cmhawks99 and @EvilMonkeyInTheCloset could at least make informed posts!

But seriously, you guys be all over it 👍

ANYWAY, fwiw, I'm pulling for NE for the reasons above. PLUS I saw a JAZ HAZ PIZZAZZ sign yesterday! We can't have that given the 3-ball she put in our face! It would be a compelling matchup.

Definitely I just think Maryland is an extremely tough out right now!

I want to remind everybody this Penn State team has an extremely high net and they were a highly thought of team until they went on that losing streak. And they did turn it around and win three in a row blowing out Minnesota and Wisconsin holding them to 34 and 56 points, respectively.

Updated ESPN Bracketology today has Iowa as a #1 (UCLA the #2 in our regional).

I need help on today's opening game. Who do I root for/against?

I despise Frese, but after Nebraska's behavior (team AND coach) during our loss over there, I think I hate them more.

Who would be more fun to beat tomorrow?

Thanks for your help.
