and jok had 5 of them. Is this a big deal, i'm not sure but I think is shows a lack of aggression, a lack of defensive intensity. I think we have a lot of upperclassmen cheating a lot in the positioning and other teams are taking advantage of it.

Don't use this game to give Jok a pass. He is just as bad as the others at cheating on positioning. The problem is Fran refusing to let them play if they pick up 2 fouls in the first half. All of the starters have had games where they sat most of the first half. They have adjusted by playing less aggressive on D since Fran won't budge.
Yup he is one of our worst defenders. Its pretty sad that our two best scoring options, are also our worst defenders. I mean Hill schooled Uthoff on that last shot.
Iowa is just so slow on defense. We look like an old mans league team, a lot of height, but no speed. I mean we will get run out of the gym by some of these other teams we might get faced with.
I wouldn't say Uthoff is one of our worst defenders. Hill made a tough, clutch shot. Jok has been lazy on defense the last month but so has the whole team. Iowa plays great defense with tons of energy when they trail by double digits and are desperate. These spurts last about 3-4 minutes then back to soft with no energy. Just can't seem to put together the long stretches like they did in January.
I will say, that first foul on Jok today was a joke. A little hand check? Come on. I'm fine if the whole game is called like that for both teams but that was the only hand check they called all game.
