Is it just me or is Captain much more animated the he used to be. The old Kirk would never crack jokes, tell us rules were stupid and he would continue to coach oline technique the way he always has. I think he believes this is a really good team and he has the best staff in place since his first three years at Iowa. All this tells me that the immediate future for the Iowa football program is in the best shape of his tenure

Kirk has a understated style of humor. He's always used it.
