Come on, Hawk fans! We sought and gladly accepted the front-runner position in the B1G this season. With that, we become a target for every team that is picked in the middle of a stacked B1G. Am I happy with the effort or results in the Minnesota game? Of course not! I do have faith though, that our veteran line-up and coaching staff will learn form this. Whether it be game planning, execution or personnel usage, adjustments will be made. Whomever wins the B1G this season will have probably 3-4 conference losses. Let's learn from this and move on.

Well it doesn't help that if you polled all Big Ten basketball players (outside their own team) on which team they would least like to see win a Big Ten title in a given year, it would undoubtedly be Iowa.

You just have to watch how teams play against Iowa compared to other teams in the conference to draw that conclusion, easily.

It's really unfortunate.

Since I watch all Big Ten games without focusing on Iowa, how exactly are they playing in particular against Iowa? Are you sure teams aren't just looking better on offense against the worst defense in the conference (at least worst in the non-Nebraska, teams with a pulse conference)? I assume players eyes light up when they know they are going to get open shots. Nothing in particular against the Iowa uniform, coach, or players.

top teams don't care about being a target they just win. Iowa may not be a top team just a very talented one

I truly hope this was meant to be sarcastic

That's not going to be the deciding factor on whether teams play us harder than others

Block, some Iowa fans have convinced themselves that teams "have it out for Iowa" and not the most rational explanation that Iowa just doesn't play very good defense. Offense is all about getting in a rhythm and feeling comfortable, and teams enter the comfort zone against Iowa.

if teams have it out for Iowa it surely doesn't show in their defense because the Hawkeyes tend to scorch people on that end of the court
