So quick Hawkeye related story. The other night I'm in my front yard with my dogs and a guy walks by pushing a baby in a stroller. I'm wearing my IOWA T-shirt and I wave at the guy when he passes. (Yep its So Cal, I can wear a T-shirt and shorts in December) He stops and says, "Are you from Iowa man?" I say, "No just a big fan of Iowa wrestling." He stops and tells me he grew up in Sioux City and was a second string guy on the football team in 90's. He referred to Iowa as "the motherland of wrestling" and added that the football team in those days knew better than to mess with the wrestlers. Not to many Iowa transplants in my neighborhood it was cool to run into one.
