Iowa hosts Western Illinois on Tuesday at 6:35pm. This is the final home midweek game of the season.

Iowa will start Cole McDonald. McDonald has put together a nice stat line starting this midweek games. He is 4-1 with a 1.86 ERA. Is it possible he will be in the rotation next year with Eldred and Gallagher?

Sounds like a good rotation. Will Erickson be back, too? I could see him possibly getting a shot. Won't have many seniors in the batting lineup next year.

I wouldn't bet on it, Western Illinois always gives Iowa fits even though Western Illinois has been garbage most years than not. Sorry to sound harsh, but there is no better way that I could put that.

Iowa beats Western Illinois 10-4

Western Illinois did outhit Iowa, but Iowa still wins!

Roscetti was 2-4 with 3 RBIs, Robert Neustrom was 3-5 with 2 RBIs, Moriel & McCoy each had an RBI.

Cole McDonald struggled tonight only going two innings, giving up six hits and three runs. Iowa then threw five more pitchers. Luke Vandermaten threw three scoreless giving up two hits and gets credit with the win. He also had three strikeouts.

Iowa goes to Ohio State next for what I say is the biggest series of the year for this team.
