First, I think posting on another team's board is weird and creepy. That being said, I don't blame them for getting excited. I never lived in Western Iowa. Now I'm in Kansas City and still know a couple of Nebraska fans that are absolutely obnoxious. I couldn't imagine the hell of having to live next to thousands of them.

I've never lived in western Iowa. I hate Nebraska because I was born in Omaha but grew up in eastern Iowa. I resent the entire state of Nebraska and half the state of Colorado for standing between me and the Rocky Mountains.

Its not a real trophy game...its made up marketing nonsense from Hy-Vee....Floyd was created because of a fear of rioting. That is a real rivalry.

NEB fans are beyond unbearable- other than ISU and Wiscy I think it's our most hated rival and we will never hear the end of it if they end our run. They are about 1 total minute of football this season from being a 2 loss team and they beat Michigan State. This is the biggest game of the season thus far!

JR, I do not know where you reside. But if you lived in western Iowa and had to drive 275 miles to a game, you might have a different view on this as well. I remember being in the Spoco in college and watching a big group of Nebraska fans hooting and hollering and clapping when they were up 50 points against some crap team after they injured the opponent's RB in the 4th quarter. I will go to my deathbed with that being the defining Cornhusker fan moment.

Minnesota doesn't have anywhere near enough of a fan base for that game to mean much anymore. You can't have a rivalry when no one pays attention to one of the teams.

Debby isn't to the level of Wisconsin yet mostly because neither team has been any good since they joined, but it's getting there. After we beat them to go undefeated it will take the rivalry up a notch.

Minnesota has a "we Hate Iowa" chant they break out even during other games. I have gotten more crap up there over the years....only Madison was worse.

They remind me a lot of Penn State; One time top tier program in the 20th Century struggling to adjust to their place in the 21st century. Fan base that believes they are still something big.
