What exactly happened on Davis' injury?

she went for a steal, got the steal, then landed awkwardly on her ankle which made her knee twist unnaturally.
No contact I believe…just went down in a heap. I mean she got bumped but it didn’t cause the injury!
Dammit! Love Molly!! Crap way for it to end for her assuming it’s that bad.
From watching the replay, it looked like it could be a MCL, ACL or both. Hopefully it is just a just a sprained knee.
Her whole leg was wrapped after the game and she was in a chair. She's done. No senior wants to get wheeled to mid court on Senior Day.
Lets just hope for a strain and they are being cautious. It looked bad but you never know. Love Molly.

The look on Molly's face didn't suggest they are being cautious. She looked like she knew her basketball career had ended. But that doesn't mean we can't pray.

Was not a hopeful look on her face at all. More dejected than anything. Feel really bad for her.

Just sometimes amazing that folks can put so much pressure and strain on joints and push their bodies further and further, and hard-cut hundreds of times, but something pretty innocuous ends a career.

Looked to me like the OSU player pushed her, but even if she did, who knows if that contributed to the injury.
My daughter had an ACL repair. The orthopedic doctor said that most ACL injuries to males are from contact, but a very high percentage of female ACL injuries are not the result of contact.
Just looked at it again. There was definitely a push but hard to tell how it impacted on the injury
I didn't see much contact but if any it was mild for some of the other stuff that went on. I am sick about it for Molly and she was really playing great this year. Since it happened early, it was good to see others step up and still be able to win the game. That's the only good thing about it.
Molly crashed in to take the ball away from the OSU player, but the player did not let go. I think the momentum of her body while hanging on to the ball forced her knee sideways
Looks to me like the tOSU player extended her arms right after the steal in a way that made it look like a push but I don't think there was much actual contact. Seemed like Molly's momentum from going for the steal is what caused the awkward fall.
