Never thought it could, but apparently it is becoming realistic that he could. Look for Billary to become really nasty to Sanders.

I always thought Sanders would do well in New Hampshire, but I'll admit its closer in Iowa than I thought possible. C'mon people...hes a Socialist! Of course, after 2008, my faith in my fellow Iowans was shaken.

What happens if Bernie wins Iowa and NH?

Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes! The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

This is the most interesting thing. If nominated you would think Sanders would have zero chance of being elected. Except the Republicans are likely to nominate someone like Trump or Cruz.

Nasty is right. She will go apeshit against him. If Bernie wins both states, Hillary's chances will drop like a lead sled. Let's hope it happens.
Doesn't Hillary still have an overwhelming advantage in the south and the super delegates. Still looks like an uphill struggle for Bernie even if he takes those two.

After reading this article, I agreed with this guy. She's still got a big backstop in Nevada and South Carolina and would probably still be the favorite. Losing both Iowa and New Hampshire would not be as bad for her as losing either Iowa or New Hampshire would be for Bernie.

What would happen?

Probably short-lived as pointed out, however.

We celebrate! Everyone wants to call him a socialist, he's not! He's actually interested in every day run of the mill people like all of you posting on this board. I can't believe he doesn't get more support.
You do know Bernie calls himself a socialist right?

Billary had it all locked up in 2008 as well, and still Obama somehow came through. If the press smells blood in the water between Billary and Sanders, look out.

Let's say that he does get elected and carries out his plan to make all public colleges free, are you ok with closing all private colleges? How do we reimburse everyone in America who has paid for college in their lifetimes.

Why would we need to close all private colleges? Why would we need to reimburse anyone? No one gets back pay when the minimum wage is raised.

If public universities become the new high schools, private colleges will probably be able to triple their tuition.

Because most people have the ability to understand, while his plans are noble, they are moronic and not practical
So you're saying we should elect someone that is a moron and can not be trusted? I guess if you want to appeal to morons, be a moron.

I don't know about the super delegates but she's winning handily in national polling. So she'll just carry it a little further out to other states who will likely support her.

(I finished the sentence which was cut off. Hopefully I got it right.)

I am completely opposed to the idea of free college paid for by the government for everyone. That said, I don't understand why you think everyone who has already been to college would get reimbursed. Obviously they wouldn't.

New Hampshire is not a big loss for Clinton. If she loses both Iowa and NH then South Carolina must be the fire wall. Sanders is incapable of being elected President of the United States. It just isn't happening. It Sanders slips past Clinton in S. Carolina and Nevada and Clinton is on the ropes look for a big name to jump in, maybe even Michael Bloomberg as an independent.

If Hillary loses Iowa and N.H, then she can join Jeb Bush
in a Pity Party. Both Hillary and Jeb believed they were
automatic nominees for the nomination. Sanders and Trump
thought otherwise and sucked the air out of their balloons.

Bernie likely becomes the Democratic candidate for President and likely the next President of the United States. He's going to have to pick a real strong, and young, VP though.

Maybe the Dems should find that person now. I'd like to know who they could find.

I would become afraid for Bernie's health.
