What on earth does the Bama AD have on the CFP Committee?

I understand what you are saying, but Alabama's 3 losses weren't cause of the ooc. It was cause they blew it against a couple of shit teams.
I get it, but nobody is going to be taking risks when 3 losses is automatic elimination even if the teams ahead of you played inferior competition all year. Teams slip up against lesser teams every year, often more than once. As an Iowa fan, you should know this.

Bama's resume with 3 losses is much more impressive than the canes. um has not beaten a ranked team all year and struggled against numerous mid-tier teams.
So how do you put them behind Bama but in front of Ole Miss?

Only conference champions should get in. In a perfect world, we wouldn't have these stupid super conferences and would have 9-10 team conferences where everybody could play a round robin schedule and just conference champions could get in the playoffs.

The main problem with that is that some teams hit their stride or get healthy late, so you gotta decide if you want the teams playing the best at that time in it. It's what makes March Madness so great. Hell, my team was just Region Runner ups, but we got healthy and made a run and won the state title.

Just let everybody in then.

I think after the conference champions the rest of the field should be determined based on computer rankings. Take the human emotions and bias out of the equation.

4 conferences with 4 champs and then 2 semis.

I am taking delight at the Canes fans melting down about a 3 loss Bama being ranked higher than them and the fact they are going to miss a spot in playoff due to it. The same cane fans who loved last years debacle and who also mocked us for trying to leave ACC and same school who has decided to stick it out in ACC?

Who could have predicted that 8 BIG / SEC teams would be in the playoffs?!? Including a 3 loss Alabama. Nobody saw this coming!! If only something happened a year ago that could have warned us all🤔

Sidebar-I also love how Notre Dame has emerged just fine in all this. In addition to the whole horrible TV deal with ESPN and Raycom, the whole Notre Dame / ACC partnership thing was a complete fiasco too that got ACC zip in the end. Notre Dame will always get the ACC’s second spot with no need to play in the championship game and no need to share TV and playoff revenue.

What a bunch of idiots Swofford and company were. The most incredible part is the ACC is now a garbage basketball conference too so that all went to heck too.
It’s also interesting to see how hard the ACC is lobbying this time around when they didn’t do a damn thing last year.

Exactly, just an expanded version. Actually, I may have enjoyed college football more when there were no championship games. When every bowl was special and an honor to be invited.
I enjoyed it when you had to have better than .500 season to go to a bowl. And while saying this, the first bowl I attended in person, Iowa State went with a 5-5-1 record.

I didn't place them anywhere. I responded to Alaska, who mentioned Miami, and I said that Bama had a better resume. When another poster brought up Ole Miss, I acknowledged they might be better than Bama and said ok. Ultimately, the only thing in this discussion I genuinely care about is scum not getting in.

Now there are those that want SMU to opt out of the championship game to secure their slot in the playoffs. Remember Joe Tessatore stating a dozen times during the uga-gt game "uga is automatically in, they can't be penalized for losing a mandatory extra game". But then today when asked if SMU would drop if they lost to clemson, the cfp chair stated "it's possible" lol.

Well in this unrealistic (but wonderfully hilarious) scenario SMU would opt out, thereby keeping them in the playoffs based on rank, then Clemson would get in based on winning the defacto acc championship, which then knocks bama out of the playoffs.
