Hoping for 6 lower level seats but would really like to be among groups of Hawkeyes.

Anyone been to TCF? Going up Saturday also. I see plenty of tickets on Golphers (Irish accent) website. Anyone ever scalp at stadium? Parking advice?

I went to the NU vs. Minny game last year, and our group bought 1st row seats off of the gametime app the morning of for 45 bucks. We talked to a few fans and thats what they said they did, and we were all super close. Pretty decent place to watch a game, and loved we could drink in the stadium. Don't remember the name (grainbelt??) but drank a ton of those.

Sorry, but this is their one big home game this season and a bunch of Hawks have already bought a ton of tickets, you'd be lucky to get anything under $60 even the day of the game. That being said, I have a group of 8 in section 201.

You’re going to pay more for 6 lower level tix. Easier and cheaper way is to look second deck in the corners. Anything above row 15-20 will then be 80-90% hawk fans.
2 years ago we got 6 up there for $50 a piece before the game. Could have negotiated some but we didn’t care. Just wanted to get inside.

Oh and grainbelt sucks. Get yourself a Summit or Surly.

Game Time app? How does that work?

Love TCF. Mainly because of those cheese curds they sell there. And you can walk around the top of the stadium. Wish Kinnick had something similar although it's mainly convenient at Minnesota because they don't have huge crowds.

(grainbelt??). Lol that's like a nickle a can. Or it should be.

It's actually pretty decent. Just an app like stub hub or the others, but I found that the tickets were much cheaper on their app, and the view it shows when looking at tickets gave a better representation. Either way you should be able to get good tickets, but I just really liked that app.

Sounds like we may be getting some tickets from current season ticket holders. Probably be surrounded by Dirty Gophers but whatever

Go to the Hawkeye Huddle, where tickets should be available. Tell the people at the entrance that you are in need of tickets and ask if they have any knowledge of people with extras. They often make announcements during the Hawkeye Huddle that someone has additional tickets available. Or you could scalp outside the stadium. Right now the cheapest ticket online is $88 after all fees. That's way too much. You will be able to scalp for much less than that.

As you will see:

(1) If you wanted to tailgate

A great option is at the State Fair grounds; the cost is $10/vehicle. There is a FREE shuttle that then runs every 10-15 minutes to AND from the stadium

For this 2:30 pm Game:
Tailgating at the Fairgrounds Starts: 8:30 am
Tailgating ends: 9:30 pm

FREE FAN SHUTTLES BETWEEN THE FAIRGROUNDS AND THE STADIUM

On home gamedays, free Gopher Football Shuttles bring patrons from St. Paul to TCF Bank Stadium.

  • The St. Paul Gopher Football Shuttle stops at two locations:
    • Lot S108 (St. Paul fairgrounds lot)
    • TCF Bank Stadium (East Bank)
  • The St. Paul Gopher Football Shuttle runs every 10 minutes starting 3 hours before the game and increases to 5 minute service as needed.

  • During the game, these shuttles run every 10 minutes.

  • After the game, these shuttles run continuously until the crowd is clear.
(2) If you are not tailgating, Take the Train to the Game

lots of times people get a hotel near the Mall of America and then take the train to the Hawkeye Huddle (which is a couple blocks from the stadium); as stated in the orig post, the stadium is a short walk from the Hawkeye Huddle location;

the BLUE LINE train runs from the Mall of America to downtown Minneapolis; the GREEN LINE train runs from downtown St Paul to downtown Minneapolis; if you start near the Mall of America, I think once you enter downtown Minneapolis you have to get off the blue line and transfer to the green line, which then drops you off right outside the stadium (the Hawkeye Huddle is a couple blocks away); for more info on the blue line and green line, go here: https://www.minneapolis.org/map-transportation/light-rail-and-bus-schedule/

As you will see, you can get an All-Day Pass for the train.

(5) Park (for FREE) & Ride the Train to the Game

If you are driving in, want a cheap/FREE place to park and then simply plan on heading to the Hawkeye Huddle or to the Stadium:

You could park in an empty, free parking lot, and walk north one block to the GREEN LINE light rail. Get on the train heading West (to Minneapolis). The train will drop you off right at the Stadium. You can scalp there, walk to the Hawkeye Huddle, etc.

At the end of this post is the address for LA Fitness, a health club. In the area is a Walmart, a Cub Foods and a Target. The light rail runs along University Ave, from downtown St Paul (to the East) to downtown Minneapolis (to the West).

***You can park with no problem in the Herberger's (no longer in business) parking lot.*** From there, simply walk to the light rail station, pay for your ticket and hop aboard!

Here is the address of the area where you can Park for FREE & Ride to TCF Stadium: 1370 University Ave W, St Paul, MN 55104
