IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Three Minnesota men were arrested over the weekend after University of Iowa police say they stole equipment from the Jacobson Athletic Building on the University of Iowa campus.
According to police, Carter Oney, 19, of Becker, Minnesota, Kaysen Platz, 19, and Jeffery Wanhala, 19, both of Big Lake, Minnesota, entered the building, at 950 Evasheski Drive, after hours, at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.
They allegedly stole $2,000 worth of baseball equipment, and were later found trespassing in Kinnick Stadium.
The three men were taken into custody and each faces charges of Second Degree Theft and Third Degree Burglary.
