Both of you could right...'coz there's some of each ingredient.
ISU has certainly succeeded in stirring some complex feelings in Hawkeye fans like me who once believed that isu would never ever beat iowa and therefore wasn't worth worrying about. Now I believe that Iowa "needs" to win this game and it is foolishness to play down this rivalry because it is real. Credit to isu for amping it up and inflicting pain. That said, the ofer part of my post was tongue-in-cheek (for now)...if that becomes reality (and it's not an impossibility), it would mean iowa fb has entered the dark ages.
