I've seen it now over and over....people are worried about Maryland. Is this just a little emotional self-defense from Hawkeye fans, turned on by years of experiencing an unknown, traumatic letdown?
I don't understand the fear of Maryland at all. I'm not saying Iowa could beat them with their eyes closed, but Maryland has never once proven to know how to play defense. In all fairness, I'm going to hold that against them. Yeah, they may have an explosive offense...but so did Indiana and iowa state.
I don't understand the being cautious with Maryland. I'm infinitely more worried about Northwestern than I am Maryland.
