With pride and unwavering commitment to the team, staff, coaches and the University of Iowa.i hope spencer does what ever spencer wants to do
he's been carrying the weight of an entire fanbase for 6+ years
As soon as the Olympics are done sign him as recruiting coordinator. Send him all over the country promoting 1. Himself he earned it, 2. USA. 3. The U of I.
I’d prefer to keep Spencer focused on freestyle until his HWC contract expires and then transition him into coachingAs soon as the Olympics are done sign him as recruiting coordinator. Send him all over the country promoting 1. Himself he earned it, 2. USA. 3. The U of I.
I’m an OSU fan, but what’s your thoughts on Gilman? I hear he is a pretty good coach. Is he liked in Iowa or did he burn his bridges here?
He has been a pretty good coach for never being a coach.I’m an OSU fan, but what’s your thoughts on Gilman? I hear he is a pretty good coach. Is he liked in Iowa or did he burn his bridges here?
He has coached plenty. PSU would love him back and that is no lie. You don't need a title to be one.He has been a pretty good coach for never being a coach.
I think most Iowa fans want the best available hires regardless of school affiliations. Mike Mal formerly at Flo eluded to the fact moving foreword all these jobs will require more CEO type than technical wrestling guy.I would think that most Iowa fans would want a staff without ties to Iowa. Spencer to RTC makes more sense to me.

I do think Gilman will be a very good coach.I’m an OSU fan, but what’s your thoughts on Gilman? I hear he is a pretty good coach. Is he liked in Iowa or did he burn his bridges here?
Does anyone know whether Spencer wants to be a coach? It seems like it's a foregone conclusion but I don't sense Spencer being "that guy". Where am I wrong?
Iowa fans want a staff with youth, hunger, name recognition, and a relationship with the top youth programs in the country.I would think that most Iowa fans would want a staff without ties to Iowa. Spencer to RTC makes more sense to me.
Spencer has kind of been pretty out there with waning to move into roles as an athletic director once he's done competing, not really coaching. Maybe that's changed. Either way, I'm not sure Spencer is the "big personality" type. He's more a "lead by example" type, IMO. That's no inside info and just an outside read.

Spencer checks 4 boxes
Brands is 0/4
Spencer will be TnT’s right hand man from now moving forward. He will be an HWC athlete until he wants to hang them up. He will be a pivotal part of growing the IOWA Brands, he is and always will be part of the Hawkeye nation.
When he is ready they will have a position for him, until then he has a HWC contract. This is all but written in stone!
In addition to this,
There are workings of many Hawkeyes out there working on building the program. There are Fans, alumni and former wrestlers that are involved and understand that Hawks need to stick together to get back on top.
Things are in motion, stay on the track or jump… your choice!

I would expect nothing less than a smart ass remark from you. Here are facts dumb ass, if you show up to events and have conversations with people specifically wrestlers, coaches, and donors you find out things. A few of my conversations have been with someone closer to the Iowa Hawkeye program than you could ever wish to be.What exactly did Spencer establish relationships with the top youth programs in the country?
We live in a world where both vhs and grip pretend to be insiders and people believe them. Interesting. 🤨

I was also 100% correct on our debate about the Okie state coaching job. My source was one of the people directly involved yet you stood on your soapbox like you actually knew something which you didn’t. So please save your BS for someone else.
Never claim to be an insider, but I am getting started! You no doubt got me on Okie State. It took a very late move to do it, but I was ultimately wrong. But that doesn’t mean you’re suddenly an insider after all these years. 😂
Ultimately, I hope you are right, FWIW.
On a sidenote, I would not mind meeting up with any of the members here, or Hawkeye fans in general. I do have a list of members. I would really like to have face-to-face conversation and shake hands with you are no doubt on that list. You no doubt got me on Okie State. Not trying to be a dick, but we've been hearing this for years. Why is this year any different than the last 14? It certainly has started off as such.In addition to this,

Tailpipe, when did you stop trying to be a dick about Tom Brands? Not trying to be a dick, but we've been hearing this for years. Why is this year any different than the last 14? It certainly has started off as such.
Do you think the cesspool is the only ones paying attention, also look at what has transpired in the last handful of years and get back to meNot trying to be a dick, but we've been hearing this for years. Why is this year any different than the last 14? It certainly has started off as such.
