Vance was a never Trumper. He has compared Trump to Hitler.

I do think he's smarter and more clever than Trump for sure. He has shown a bit of a moral compass

I want to believe he is in a position to keep his enemy-Trump-very close and just tell him all the things he wants to hear but in the big moment for him to step up and do what's right he will do it.

However Occam's Razor would have me believe he's a paid off loyalist, sociopath and will just keep the coarse in the search for more power and influence to the people's detriment.

But still would make a fun story if he were the former.

I'm hoping 95 percent of what he displays in public at the moment is a carefully constructed act, yea. When reality sets in that true crazy MAGA is actually a small enought percentage that can be overcome, game over for MAGA.
