I'm irrationally optimistic and only picked Iowa to win by 1 point 31-30
I'll take it. I've been hard on KF and BF most of this year, and with good reason. I would NEVER hope for their failure; it's much more fun for them to put together this kind of game plan and come up with such a huge win.
I just hope the Hawks can keep it up the rest of the season.

no but finally having a OL that actually has played together the last few weeks helped, in the 1st 6 games the OL had 6 different starting lineups, also Butler is now back after missing multiple games,
never mind the fact that there are 6 new starters on Offense, they also replaced 2 RSSR's on the OL with a RSFR in Jackson at LT and FR Wirfs at RT, to bad these crybabies were expecting these 2 to play like 5th year seniors.
today the OL of the future showed just how good they can be.
Why?? I hope he is right. I love the ferentz family. I think they have been nothing but class and great for Iowa and Iowa football. None of us want Kirk and Brian to fail. But damnit, let the kids play. Today, they did, and it was brilliant.

no its taken them 3 games and 4 weeks of practicing together that allowed them to gel, if you really followed the Hawks you should know by know When KF has a young they get better each week and the month of November is when it all comes together. this year is no different.

I will personally apologize for the inexperience these people are showing rather than playing like 5th year seniors and coaching at their new jobs like 20 year+ veterans

Your comment was definitely not spot on. You are wrong on the one game, you don't know what Brian said to Kirk, and you didn't call the game. Therefore, your opinion sucks.
Sorry - one game vs their body of work? Will remain sceptical until this type of play becomes the norm. Doesn’t diminish the fact that they coached and the players played a fantastic game.
Offensive line has to work together as a unit. Our 2 pre season all big 10 guys Botteger and Myers have been out all year or hobbled in Myers case. Announcer said the entire OSU offensive line has started every game for 2 years and some for 3 years. Wirf was playing 2A ball at Mt.Vernon last year at this time for crissakes!.
