After this is all gets a little jumbled for me.......
This is a good list although you go beyond me a little bit. I do believe the list starts with Lester - Iowa just didn't lose when he played. I even recall Lute saying after he won the NCAAs at AZ (I live in Tucson) that he thought the Iowa team in 1980 was going to win it all if it weren't for the Lester injury.
BJ and Marble deserve it, too. I'd throw Stokes in there. Gamble is the wildcard. So good and so clutch, but the numbers never quite caught his value.
Brunner is one of those guys on the next tier. He got so much better in his career and it was fun to watch. He's a James Winters under sized type of guy who could will Iowa to a win.
Vince Brookins is a guy who I always thought could make this list, but he never had the consistency. I loved Carfino when he was on and Horton could control a game as well. But again, consistency.
Street is another wildcard. Fabulous player with a career that was cut short. What could have been ... we'll never know.
Woolridge, settles, Hansen, White, and Huluska..great players, no doubt, but the next layer down.
Bohannon if he keeps it up with the clutch shots will be in the top ten. He's a Gamble sort of player in that his stat line, while good, was not dominant, but the plays he made killed you.
