And he did so at the exact time that UNC made their big push. That's veteran leadership that Iowa hasn't had since the '06 team in the post-Davis era. He knew he had to take charge.

Much better game than I expected. Tip of the hat to Iowa but the Heels looked like a much more mature team than they have this year so that's a positive.

I expected a good game - UNC last year just looked like a team that had everything that could, go wrong for them.

Iowa jumped out to an early lead but really, UNC kept pace for the rest of the game.

The difference was perimeter shooting - Iowa cooled off after their red-hot start but UNC doesn't have the firepower to keep pace if Iowa is going to make 17 3s in a game.

And the Big 10 is laying the wood to the ACC in the challenge as well which is nice to see. Iowa will be tough this year as long as everyone stays healthy (they have to be one of the deepest teams in the nation as well).

That's not a surprise this year - this is possibly the best and deepest b10 conference EVER - or at least since the late '80s. If the b10 doesn't have multiple teams in the Final 4 (depending on brackets) this year I will be surprised.
