This is an HR Sweet 16 pool.

If you get the Answer correct, you Win an authentic
Autographed picture of Steve Alford. Second place gets
3 of them.

I'm going to give you my winners, right now.
Indiana and Wisconsin get through, but not the Twerps

Odds are one of them will get through... I'm not picking any of them though.

Maryland and Indiana are facing #1 seeds. They have a
tougher job ahead of them. Kansas and North Carolina
are expected to be in the Final Four.

Wisconsin only has to defeat #6 Notre Dame. Badgers
should advance to Elite EIght

I personally think North Carolina is vulnerable and if I had to pick between those three teams I would say Indiana has the best shot.

But really all 3 are likely to go down.

Most likely, the Big Ten gets shut out. I think Indiana is gonna ride that momentum from beating Kentucky though and give UNC a battle.

Wisconsin is getting closer and closer to "playing with house money", but then again they like mooching off of others to pay their way, so to speak (and no I will not qualify that statement, thank you for asking..........deal with it), so we'll see if they can win another close game against a somewhat susceptible Notre Dame team.

If I had to pick a Big Ten team to win, it'd be Indiana just because they have that "we believe we can play with anyone" mentality now that they beat big bad Kentucky. Then again, the last good Big Ten team that did that choked away a lead and lost the national title to the New England Patriots of college basketball, Duke (if nobody else is gonna be good enough to win a championship, they'll step in and take it despite everyone hating them for it, which is basically Duke's last two championships).

Maryland winning would be the biggest shock of the Sweet 16.

Every team is vulnerable, but North Carolina is one of the elite teams in the nation along with Kansas. Notre Dame isn't that good, I think Wisconsin has a much better shot and Vegas agrees.

I agree with all 3 going down (and yes, I realize I already know the Turtles lost). NC being vulnerable only happens if they let it. So much talent on that team, if they show up focused we've seen what they can do. Just don't see IU being able to handle the combination of Jackson, Johnson, and Berry. Yogi always seems to get his (dammit), but just too much firepower.
Wisky has best shot in my opinion.
Hate to say it, but if both teams show up as capable, ISU/VA could be one of the most entertaining games of the whole deal.

And this was supposed to be Wisky's down year. Sigh.

They started 2 guys from a Final Four team, one being the PG and start another kid who played a lot of minutes. Why would it be a down year? The fact is they never should have been as dogshit as they were early in the season

Because the reason they were a final four team is they had two NBA players on it? Hayes could make it 3 NBA players, but anytime you lose 2 NBA players and you aren't Kentucky, Duke, etc. you are going to see a drop-off.

Never said there wouldn't be a drop off. I'm saying a team that returned 2 starters, starting PG and Nigel Hayes and then throw in Showalter who's played a ton of minutes and is a senior, should never have been losing to western illinois and UW milwaukee at home early in the season. Of course there would be a drop off, but it isn't like the cupboard was completely bare coming into this season for them.

Showalter is a junior and played less than 8 mpg last year, that's hardly a ton of minutes.

I think both Indiana and Wisky win tonight

So much for the strength of the B1G. That's why the NCAA Tourney is not an indicator of Conference comparison.
